Mediocre food, subpar service... I don't know why it ranks 68 in the world top 100 restaurant list. My wife and I have been to over half of those on that list, but we both couldn't find a single impressive dish there. Yes the decor is quite nice and the graffiti at the entrance is pretty cool, but that's all.... More

We went there with high expectations, having read great reviews and all, we were a party of 6 and firsthand we were surprised that the price on the menu was not the one we saw published somewhere else, it was much higher. What went wrong? - A few dishes were quite good, most of them were just OK. For the... More

Went to Tegui with my family on Christmas Eve with high expectations-- having made our reservation well in advance and alerted them that my Mom doesn't eat meat, only fish and seafood. 1. Stopped by during the day on the 24th to prepay the meal, which cost USD $225 per person, and they had no record of our reservation, so... More

Don't go! MAJOR disappointment, Xmas Eve. Mediocre, unimpressive service including a wait even when tables empty, a spill all over dress with barely an apology. Good courses, so-so. Worst: got stuffing from the quail as main ( non-meat requested) dish and with polite complaint, pears and leeks! Chef left early. Paid a LOT and feel ripped off. Embarrassing to my... More

Tegui restaurant is hard to find, hidden away behind a graffitied wall and large black door. The sign is almost non existent. Don't blink as you walk past or you will miss it. What you should not miss however is this experience. If you are a foodie of any description it will not disappoint. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful tasting menu which... More

So everything you read about the look of this restaurant is true. The area is so cool. The graffiti door is so cool but go inside and the room is amazing. It is a small venue that has beautiful plants on half of the room. We later discovered that that is open air seating for the busy season. The food... More

We sampled the Christmas Eve taster menu which we thoroughly enjoyed, the food served was innovative, modern fine dining but true to the flavours. The tortellini course and the chocolate dessert were particularly stunning in flavour. The service and timing of the courses was spot on. The waiters were personabl and professional. It was a lovely evening and I would... More

The place is not worthy a visit, not even if you are a curious traveller following a tour guide recommendation. There are tons of better places in Buenos Aires! The service is terrible, we received a couple of rude answers from the waiter when requesting to set the air conditioning in a hot summer day or requesting bottled water. I... More

We went with friends. The food was good quality but little. The price is not justified. Another day we went to dinner at a restaurant across the street (called Conquer) and ate very well for half the price.

I went there thinking I was going to have a nice dinner but the service was terrible (no sparkling water, excessive prices, not enough food). Also, we paid for 6 cups of wines and they forgot to bring one of them.

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
