Of all the place we ate while in BA, this was not the best meat we had. It is a great experience and next time I would order a different entree. We had the big grilled family combo.

If you like good food, friendly staff and reasonable prices, you've come to the right place. You can even see the meat cooking on the grills. This is one of the few restaurants that we visit more than once. We've also ordered empanadas to go, to enjoy back at the apartment. It's not fancy, just a simple. You'll like the food!

Upon the recommendation of our driver, we had a late lunch at La Chacrita. This proved to be an excellent dining experience. The weather was ideal for sitting outside, which we did. The portions of meat were large and cooked to perfection, and the sides was wonderful. The service was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. The staff... More

Went to this restaurant by Recoletta Cemetary, based on the recommendation of a nearby hotel and souvenir gift shop. Food is quite good. Ordered fried mozzarella (which was excellent) and ate filet mignon and ribeye for entres (meat was cooked to perfection). Prices are reasonable. Spent < 150 pesos on a dinner with 1 bottle of wine, 1 appetizer, 2... More

If you're going to pay high prices in a touristy location you may as well have good quality! The above id truly the case fir this place - truly overpriced for Bs As, but for this location I guess not too bad. The setting just next to Recoleta cemetery is great and the service is good. Great display in the... More

My experience has been that restaurants in the middle of heavily touristed areas tend to lack in quality. However, not the case at La Chacrita! During the two times we've been here, we've been treated to the tenderest of tenderloins -- one with a savory pepper sauce, the other with a mushroom sauce. Although one could argue that a good... Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
