We went here with our daughter and her friend and had the most wonderful steaks with lovely vegetables and puddings. The service is excellent, you can have cocktails whilst you are waiting and you MUST book, it was totally rammed on a saturday night. Cost was c £50 per person with cocktails, 2 bottles of wine and 4x3 course meal.... More

We have been here a few times on visits to Buenos Aires. Always a nice atmosphere. Food is consistently good, service is quick and a good wine list as well.

Fervor was the recommendation from Hotel's concierge for a walking distance restaurant for a Wednesday dinner on my own. The concierge made a reservation for a 15' walk. When I got there, the hostess set me up for a mezzanine table though the main room was empty -- reservations she said but I was skeptical. By the end of my... More

A wonderful place to enjoy great meat (and they have a good selection of fish); best to book as pretty well full most of the time. We had great steaks, fries and roasted vegetables plus an amazing Argentinian Malbec. Staff are attentive and quick even if English is not a natural language for them. Go enjoy!

This was recommended to us as a great place to try Argentine beef as well as seafood. It did not disappoint. The straps were cooked to perfection and beautifully rested. The sides easily serve two people and we had some of the espanole potato fries left over. The service was outstanding and spoke both Spanish and English. Highly recommended. The... More

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions. I am from Canada. The food is consistently good and the waiters are very professional (especially Manuel, the head waiter). For people that have problems, I recommend being polite and trying to be patient. I recommend the langoustine ensalada, purée de batatas and bife chorizo. Deserts are good as is the... More

Years go by, and Fervor has not lost its good taste for "seafood parrillada" (grilled fish and shrimps and salmon and mackerel, etc.). This original parrillada is up to the most demanding standards. Staff is professional. Restrooms at the top are excellent. Tables on the lower ground floor could have better heating (there is a strong draft). Tables up the... More

This high end restaurant located in a residential area of town is well liked by locals. It is smaller and less "touristique" than the Puerto Madero restaurants but every details is well cared for. Portions are big and the restaurant offers half portions of most dishes which are abundant for one person. The gilled mollejas (sweetbread) were excellent, best I... More

We had only a few days in Buenos Aries and picked this restaurant because of the great reviews. Very Very Popular place, people just kept pouring in. We both ordered rib-eye steaks with sides of creamed The portions were large - I could not even begin to finish my steak, but everything was just okay. My husband and I both... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
