In style, the restaurant reminds of a Parisian brasserie Lipp, but the food is better, especially fish and sea-food which they cook to perfection. The restaurant is vast, we particularly liked the room at the back, which looks like a conservatory, with glass panels and...lots of plants. We didn't book in advance and got a table, but probably best to book. Lovely place, not innovative but steady and classic.More

First night in Recoleta we wanted Argentinian steak at Fervor. Dinner from 7:30 pm until closing. Two levels for dining. We were seated immediately on the first floor although our reserved table for 3 was later. Fast, attentive service from 2 waitstaff assigned to our...table. Outstanding fresh breads and accompaniments brought to the table. Nice extensive local wine list. Waiter's recommendation was a great bottle of 2016 Malbec we all enjoyed immensely. Menu is also in English language. Waitstaff is multilingual, very friendly, efficient, and helpful. Three of us each had a 200 gram tenderloin. Cooked to perfection. Grill flavor came through without need for chimichurri or salt. Many side dishes. Mashed potatoes were just OK. Others better. Extensive homemade desserts list. Mine was delicious with an espresso. We closed the place that first evening leaving sometime after midnight. Very reasonable prices for a near perfect dining experience that was memorable for all. Not too many tourist here. We subsequently compared the tenderloin experience at Don Julio and all of us agreed Fervor is much better. Why? Because: No 2+ hour wait, less tourists, less noisy, nicer interior, friendlier service, and bottom line... better grill flavor on the same type steaks. Fervor is so good I went back on my last evening in Buenos Aires. Will remember the experience as one of the best in my life. Certainly best tenderloin ever. Puts U.S. steaks to shame.More

We enjoyed all aspects of this restaurant. The reservation process through their online link. We were seated in balcony section which provided a nice overview of the entire restaurant. The wait staff was extremely efficient and helpful with decisions on food and wine. The service...was well paced. The food was nicely prepared and very good. If staying in BA, we would definately recommend.More

Saw this place on a whim and made a reservation for the next night. Ambiance, decor and service, stellar. Bread selection, lovely. Seafood, sub par, especially prawn and calamari skewers. Steak, below Argentine experience. More like Texas beef at best. Dessert stellar. Wine and after...dinner drinks great. All of the things that were in their control were great, but the kitchen needs a new staff. Truly deserve a rating between average and above average, but, again, service, ambiance and decor give a better rating.More

We went here on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist, and so glad we did. Our reservation was 8:00, early for BA, but the restaurant was already busy. We were seated promptly and graciously, and the genial waiter came right away to take drink orders....He was very generous in pouring our glasses of a wonderful Malbec. Service throughout was attentive but not rushed, and the food was delightful. My husband had the strip steak and I, who almost never eat beef, had the tenderloin. Both were perfectly cooked, outrageously tender, and just the right size. I was surprised, having read some comments here that the place is expensive, to find that our bill for two appetizers, two steaks, two large sides, and four glasses of wine was about $75 US, much less than we would pay for a comparable meal at home. What great value! We highly recommend.More

This was the best steak we've ever had!! We've eaten at many of the better steak house chain restaurants in Southern California, Duane's-Ruth Chris-Flemings, and this place beat them hands down. The price was very reasonable for a full dinner with a bottle of wine...& dessert, around $70 compared to $175 in the USA. The staff was excellent and gave spot on advise from their wine listing. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again.More

We had a fabulous lunch at Fervor today. We shared a 600g New York strip cooked to perfection. We also shared the grilled vegetables and the garlic Parmesan fries. We each had a glass of Malbec which was delicious. We ended the meal with a...dulce de leche flan and ice cream. Soooo good. The waitstaff was incredible and were extremely attentive. Lots of fun for our first meal in Buenas Aires.More

Very efficiently run fine dining in one of the best areas of Buenos Aires. Went for dinner and they serve large portions that can easily be split. You can also order a half portion. I had a New York steak that was well prepared and...served exactly as I ordered. Only there was a lot of fat which had to be trimmed off. My wife had the fillet of sole which looked pan fried and was a bit dry. We also ordered a side of creamed spinach which had too much cream sauce. The basket of bread that was served was delicious. Just remember to ask for butter or olive oil. Vegetable soup was very tasty but the texture was too smooth like being prepared with an immersion blender. Green salad was also quite good.More

If you value your US dollar on the "official" exchange your steak would be around $15 US and a good bottle of wine about the same. If you convert your US $ on the "blue" you can cut that cost by 40%. There is an exchange 50... More

You can also try to find a nice temp apartment at Buenos Aires Habitat, which has the best flats around Fervor area. It´s like an AirBNB on steroids :)
