We had a wonderful meal here a few weeks ago. The steak was cooked to perfection, we had two sides between us but one would have probably been enough. The service was excellent too, the smellier went out of his way to help us with suggestions and recommendations. Best meal we had in BA! Highly recommend

Got to BA that morning on red eye flight from Dallas. After a nap our concierge pointed us to this restaurant in the Recoleta district. Very hungry, we had a hardy lunch of grass feed beef ribeye and sweet breads with Malbec wine. Outstanding.

We were there with a large business group for dinner, so maybe that is why our food was not the best. Good bread, however. Good wine. And great dessert. Fish was not cooked enough. Nice atmosphere. Nice staff.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was lovely but the steak that my husband and I shared was the worse steak of our Argentinian holiday. Considering the price, we were very disappointed. Perhaps we were just unlucky.

Here for dinner. We were first seated right next to the kitchen door. When asked to be moved, we ended up on the second floor in a hidden corner. Bad start. Service was definitely rushed and pretty rough, like they were in a hurry for us to leave, which may or may not have been the case but this should... More

First of all, I highly recommend you make a reservation. This place is popular among locals and visitors. Seating is limited. Fervor was recommended to us by a concierge at Alvear Palace hotel. Every thing about Fervor is perfect, from the wait staff (who speak English very well) to the Somm (great recommendation on a Syrah). After 7 days in... More

Fervor is a trendy and charming restaurant where one can have a taste of the delicious argentinian meat. It offers different cuts, all of excellent quality. Service of fast and attentive. The layout of the restaurant permits a nice overview from the second floor mezzanine. It's worth a visit.

Our food was delicious and the steak was amazing, however our service could have been better. Everything seemed to be going great until a regular sat next to us and had a complaint – after that, the service was terrible. Our dishes sat uncleared in front of us for quite some time. Tip: Make sure to order your meat “juicy”... More

Old style charm, gracious service and wonderful food are all in good supply at Fervor. The clientele us a mix of well dressed Argentinians and surprisingly casually dressed tourists. Steak is amazing, salad excellent and wine list very good. We enjoyed sitting on the second floor (first floor if you're Argentinian) with a great view of everything.

We got there at 8 with a reservation. Almost empty. By 9:30 it was packed and we had eaten an amazing meal! Fresh fresh sole and the best sirloin (bife de chorizo) that you could ever want to eat!!! Grilled veggies and mashed potatoes, some wine and thee. The picture doesn't do it justice. Atmosphere is elegant and popular. Service... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
