About
Discover the Asado steak tradition, served with a twist. This is a reservation only experience that starts at 19:45. We have created a closed-door dining experience that explores new ways of serving Argentine Asado classics, like provoleta, ribeye, tira de asado, seasonal vegetables and more. While seated at our bar you’ll see, feel and experience different grill cooking techniques, up close and personal. Our tasting menu consists of eight courses prepared on the grill, using seasonal ingredients. We aim to create a memorable fireside experience for each guest, beyond your regular steakhouse expectations. The optional wine pairings have been designed to best enhance the overall flavors, and present different wines from Argentina.

We made a booking at Fogon Asado for the final night of our honeymoon in Argentina. There is a reason this restaurant is rated #1 on Tripadvisor: the whole experience was flawless. The restaurant only offer a six course tasting menu for dinner in the evenings. You sit at the counter surrounding the purpose-built grill, and multiple Fogon Asado staff guide you through the menu. The evening starts off with an incredibly tasty welcome cocktail, which is followed by the various courses. I won't ruin the surprise, but the meat was the best we ate in Argentina. There was also a grilled cheese which was spectacular. The various grilling techniques the staff use are what makes the flavours so incredible. We have been lucky to eat in some of the best restaurants in the world, and we both agreed that Fogon Asado was in our top 3 - on par with London's Michelin star restaurants for flavour and service.
The staff at Fogon deserve a huge shout-out. Their friendliness, skill (the servers are also the chefs), and passion for what they do really made this restaurant stand out. They made the whole experience fun, constantly engaging the restaurant-goers in what was being prepared (we even made our own chimichurri sauce). A special mention goes to Nilander who was such a pleasure to meet, and so great at his job.
Grab your fork(illo) and knife... this restaurant is not to be missed! Booking in advance is essential, as there is only a small amount of seats.

We had been to Don Julios the night before and while the service was excellent, the food was average and the prices were not cheap. While Fogon is still probably expensive by Argentinian standards it is worth every penny/cent of the $65.
Every course was presented with style and enthusiasm and tasted sensational and you certainly won't leave hungry. Staring with Empanandas working your way through all sorts of wonderful meats from pork belly to steak to sweetbreads and concluding with the most delectable pancakes with dulche de leche, berries and cream and caramelised with a branding iron, the whole night was an absolute delight and I cannot recommend highly enough. At the end they even gave a glass of bubbles to everyone to toast one of the guests birthdays. Just one tiny thing, a lot of the sites that advertise it seem to have it down as 2 hours when in fact it is a good 3 but a fantastic evening that is both a spectacle and a great dinner

A very different dining experience at Fogon and it was quite simply excellent. Whilst not cheap it is worth the money just for the quality of the food, the excellence of the service and the novelty of having the food cooked right in front of you. There are plenty of places in Argentina where you can get an excellent steak but Fogon is different. You get a 6 course meal of Argentinian favourites including a prime steak with complimenting Argentine wines. Great atmosphere and great fun.

Amazing! One of our best restaurant experience so far. We loved the food, the service, the atmosphere, the wine, everything. It was a show from the open kitchen that we sit around and the chefs and waiters/sommeliers explained everything so good in english what we drink and eat. Thanks

This is a fun place with a great set menu from the appetizers main course and dessert. The wine flows freely and is of high quality.
Guests sit at a table surrounding the barbecue grill getting to know the other guests while the staff explains the different courses and wines. Dinner starts at 7:40 and finishes close to 11:00.
If you enjoy interacting with the staff and fellow dinners this is an excellent choice.

Dinner in this small, intimate setting was a highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires. We sat around the chefs as they prepared the courses with about 20-25 other diners. The staff were friendly and talked to us about the various dishes they were preparing in great English. My wine glass was almost always full with excellent wine and the dishes were so wonderfully flavorful.It was truly an experience and one I will not forget. If I ever come back to Buenos Aires, this will be a must.

Do it! From the moment we walked in, we were treated as special guests for an amazing evening. The food is bountiful and delicious, the wine abundant, and this was by far our best meal in Argentina. The staff is so relaxed and talented, that you almost forget they are working together like a symphony to create an unforgettable experience for your palate.

The reviews are all true this is a must visit experience! So much thought has gone into the experience and our whole party absolutely loved it. We have eaten all over the world And this was one of the best meals we have had. We also had a guest who was gluten free and they catered brilliantly making bespoke versions of each dish. Fantastic value for money too!

I booked this 4 months ahead of going because I had read the rave reviews on Trip Advisor and really wanted to go – the reviews are absolutely spot on, it really is excellent food and a really enjoyable evening!
ALL of the food (and the welcome cocktail) was tasty and delicious, we left feeling exceptionally full but very happy. The staff were really friendly and it was very interesting watching them cook all the food in front of you. This was the best meal we had in the whole of our south America tour, a really enjoyable evening, one I absolutely recommend!!!

What a great argentine experience, so much fun. I highly recommend making a reservation so you’re not disappointed. The restaurant is quite intimate. The food and wines were amazing. Most of our group went with the premium wine selection and were quite satisfied with both quality and quantity. And the beer drinkers were just as happy. Although I’m not a big fan of some of the meats most in our group were very intrigued with the variety. It is a set menu so you can try a bit of everything. The blood sausage was a big hit for some. The meal was finished off with a dulce de Leche filled pancake. Omg. We didn’t find another close to that delicious in our travels afterwards. Muy bueno!
We also enjoyed the interaction with the staff. They were very helpful answering our numerous questions about the fire grill, meats, wines, making of the chimichurri, etc. Overall it was a great evening out and worth the $$$

As we sat around a perfectly tended open grill, drinking exceptional wine, chatting with our neighbours, and laughing at the antics of our entertaining hosts, we were happy that our travel consultant had recommended we end our trip to the city with this traditional event. The wine choices changed with each course & whenever you placed an empty glass on your shelf it was immediately refilled. We watched meats being cooked to order, laughed while the chefs poked fun at each other, and sampled all kinds of treats. I did struggle as I don't care for meat but I definitely enjoyed the wine, the yummy dessert, & the fun experience.

Ok!! My wife and I visited Fogon Asado last night I the first thing I had to do when I woke up this morning was write a review!
This place is an experience truly not to be missed if your visiting BA. It’s an education in Asado it’s meats and wine. It’s hands on fun with making your own Chimichuri.
It’s a social event to meet new people and share an incredible evening.
The service and interaction with the staff is beyond compare to anywhere we have eaten in BA (and trust me we have been to a lot in the last month) all the guys and girls working here obviously love what they are doing and have a massive pride in it.
The quality of the cuts of meats are the best you will every have tried!! We sat close to people from Switzerland, Brazil and USA all in agreement on this.
Let’s not forget the Empanadas! The blood sausage, the pork, the Mistry cut of meat (wow not going to tell you what it is you’ll have to go and find out) and the dessert first class.
8 courses of heaven on a plate with wines to suit each one. Glasses are never empty!!
It’s like These guys have captured every element of the Argentine’s culture and love for dinning put it in a bottle and let you drink as much of it as you wish!!
If you do one thing while in BA make sure you go to Fogón Asado you won’t regret it.!!!

We had dinner here on Christmas Eve, and it was one of the best and unique culinary experiences I have had. The concept is one sitting with a small group all sat around the wood grill. The small group allows you to talk to fellow travelers and make new friends as you dine. The chefs explain each course as it is prepared and cooked in front of you over the wood burning grill (which is the centerpiece of the restaurant). Wine is paired with each dish, and your glass is never empty! This is a must visit for any trip to BA! Will never forget it.

Great food and wines served by even more amazing and authentic people. The quality is outstanding and is served with a smile and on a extreme professional level. We had to go back twice because we were wowed the first time to a point that we couldn’t believe this is possible to be repeated, and we we were wrong. Again super experience. Great recommendations to people who like to eat good Argentinien food served with a smile which makes it to the real Argentinien experience. Please continue the way we experienced it twice and we will be back for sure...

This is our first time in Argentina and Buenos Aires, so after reading all the exceptional reviews we went last night and did not regret it. This was simply wonderful in every regard starting super staff and service but above all the way the food is grilled in front of you watching every step is simply unique. The quality of the meet and all the corresponding wines were outstanding. We would highly recommend it and would definitely go again. This is a must go for meat and wine lovers, you will not regret the decision!!!
