We had some empanadas and they were both great - very tasty and fresh from the oven. The place has an open kitchen so you can see how they chop the ingredients and form the empanadas! Super tasty :)

This gem of a place makes some of the best empanadas I have ever tasted. Served with ice cold Patagonia beer , it's very hard to beat the combination. Easy to say our whole group will be going back again.

I was visiting South America for two weeks and was looking for the best Empanadas and this place definetely tops the list. Lucky we stumbled upon this place, service was excellent, fast turnaround time (within 5minutes of ordering 6 empanadas), and the flavours were incredible....Compared to other stores with Empanadas this was incredibly cheap. Would highly recommend the Beef, and Chorizo & Cheese Loved them so much that we took 3 as takeout. You can see them make them by hand and bake/fry them on the spot. We went on the busy weekend and still got them fast. Menu is labelled in English for those who cann't read/speak Spanish.More

We stumbled upon El Hornero while walking around San Telmo Market on Sunday morning. We saw people line up for this place before it opened, so we decided to try this place out and we are sure glad we did. They have a limited seating...area but my wife was able to grab a seat while I waited in line to order. The empanadas are freshly baked, came out hot, and served on top of a small cutting board. We ate the beef, ham and cheese, and the chorizo, and we loved everything that we came back the following day for lunch.More

My friend and I were looking for a place to eat and we stopped in the San Telmo market and came across El Hornero. We looked at the menu and made our choices. Our drinks arrived-sparkling water for me and my friend and my friend...also got a glass of wine. She ordered the ham and cheese and chicken, I ordered the ham and cheese, meat, and chicken. They came out hot and are served on a small cutting board. We asked for utensils and dug in. They were delicious. The staff was very accommodating and the waiter who took our order was very helpful. I would recommend either for a snack, lunch or a quick dinner.More

This place serves some of the best empanadas we've had in Argentina (and we've tried a lot)! The location is nice too.

Friends raved about this place and they were not wrong. Various empanadas made fresh and taste delicious with a selection of craft beer. Well worth a stop while visiting the San Telmo markets!

We visited this restaurant inside San Telmo Market for lunch and we were really impressed. There was a deal of three empanadas and a can of pop for 200 pesos. The empanadas were delicious and the service was very good. They even had wifi! The...only downside was that it was a bit cold but that can't be helped in a semi outdoor market!More
