This place is known for its fried potatoes "souffle" and that's what went there to try. We also had a milanesa napolitana (veal schnitzel with tomato sauce, ham and cheese), and a salad. The food was as expected, normal home-cooked argentinean food. The prices are according to what you get so no complaints.

I really enjoyed this place and it was picked on a Sunday afternoon. Totally old school, friendly service. The mixed potato chips / potato soufflé were great and very unique.

El Palacio de Papas Fritas on Avenido Corriente in Buenos Aires is an excellent place to dine. Great steaks served with their grandesque papas fritas, a serving you will never forget! The landmark restaurant adds native dishes with mixed success. I recommend keeping to an order of tender steak and papas fritas!

I've loved this restaurant since I was a kid and came here for special occasions ever since. The bife de lomo is large and tender, but the papas fritas (papas souffles) are what the restaurant is named for--puffy and tasty. Wide variety on the menu, and the waiters are friendly, some of whom have been here for years

We ordered the Palacio Menu and it had empanadas as a starter and Bife de Chorizo as the main dish. Empanadas were cold and we asked for them to be heated again. Bife was meh, I've had much better. Papas had a stinking taste. Not recommendable.

Incredible but a restaurant frequented by foreigners does not take credit cards in the 21st century. Be aware or you may have a terrible experience. Meat was average, service average

This classic restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. Husband and I each got a medium rare New York strip steak and shared the papas soufflé (house specialty). Such an interesting take on fried potatoes, they are crispy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside! The steaks seemed a tad underdone, but between undercooking and overcooking I'll... More

A coworker took me and my team to Palacio several years ago and I remember that the place was not full it was actually quite empty. It was my first time in Argentina and I remember that the steaks and meats were great plus desserts but especially the famous papas. Today I returned to Palacio and the service was great... More

I have heard about this place for a long time and finally made it here. The food was very good and the papa souffle was unique. Puffed up steak fries that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Different and very tasty. Service was good and the Almuerzo Ejecutivo was a great deal.

After a most entertaining night at the theatre and on the day of our wedding anniversary we returned to the Palacio and had an excellent meal. Really good service and exquisite asado as wella s the famoud papas soufflé or very special fried potatoes that are the specialty of the house.
