We went for dinner and had the paella, it was good but I definitely expected better. For dessert I had "zapallo en almibar" with whipped cream, that was excellent.

We visited the Plaza Mayor twice during our stay in Buenos Aires. It is a fun place to stroll through. We were told it is perfectly safe during the day, but not so at night.

We went on a walk and passed this plaza. It is so lively and it is amusing to see all the things happening around and all the different persons passing by.

Great reception, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent device throughout dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there was enough of each for everyone to sample each other's.benjoyable desserts, The baked apple in red wine counts as one of your 5 a day. Really good wines reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Especially if you want a beak from steak or Italian.... More

In a perfect environment, although the tables get quite close to each outras.Bom service, often with the owner in the lounge giving everything. And really typical dishes properly prepared Spaniards. The menu comes in the form of a fan which tells the history of this instrument.

A very nice place to have a Spanish meal. The decoration is very interesting. It can become a bit noisy if it´s full.

Plaza Mayor is a nice traditional spanish restaurant. Their paella valenciana is great and huge, I recommend it. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. The ambient is very nice with spanish thematic decoration.

The place is beautifully appointed and there is a small army of waiters standing by rather efficiently attending to everything from opening the door to getting the drinks and breads to the table, though they appear to be in a grim-faced staring contest without the slight hint of enjoying the presence of the guests, except for one older gentleman who... Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
