We had lunch at La Cabrera our first day in BA. My wife and I shared the provoleta and a large ojo de bife (ribeye steak). The steak was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The prices are very reasonable and the food is plentiful. We could not finish all the food that they clued for free. We also left steak... More

We had great steaks and the service was excellent. Only thing i did not like was the fact that the restaurant is really crowded and there is not much space between the tables.

La Cabrera is a very well known "parrillada" in Buenos Aires. It is as expensive as famous, so prepare your wallet. Meat is excellent, service is very good and place is nice. Good experience.

This place was recommended by an Argentinian here in Vancouver. The first night I went, I had a late night reservation, and enjoyed a big meal with wine; the steak was amazing, tender and huge! It was super busy, it is well know to tourists, so if you show up, expect a wait, and they have drinks and snacks to... More

Don’t get me wrong. The food (meat) is really good but most of the traditional “parrillas” in Argentina will give you that. What makes the difference is the service, and that is what La Cabrera doesn’t care for. Waiters are rude and not trained at all. They “throw” the plates on the table, drop meat juices on clients, etc. On... More

We went here after recommendations from an argentinian colleague and our hotel. Perhaps our expectations were too high. But the experience was marred by a poor table and patchy service. You cant book after 8.30 and we arrived at 9.30 to an expected queue. Wait time was 40 mins. Some did it in the cold on the street outside or... More

Classic Argentine steakhouse. Ojo de beef, chorizo, and tenderloin were some of my favorites. Awesome malbec selection, attentive waiters. Come here every time I am in BA! Make a reservation, it can be busy!

This restaurant is fun to visit with a large crowd on a Sunday night so book ahead. It offers good service and excellent food. The rib eye was delicious and they bring you all sorts of little side tastes and salad that are "included" although you don't know that ahead of time. As is common in BA the portions are... More

La Cabrera was highly recommended by all the locals and it certainly lives up to its reputations for food, service and ambiance. One of our best meals, and the servings are huge. Wonderful value for impecable service and exquisite food.

A truly sublime eating affair, bordering on gluttony. There are at least three important things to know about Argentina: 1. It is one of the most corrupt countries in the world (not just my opinion, but that of the World Economic Forum, as well). The people and country have been violated for over a hundred years, mostly by it's public... More

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
