Bad service, waited for long just to be seated. Waiter didn't speak any English, asked for regular pasta but got potato gnocchi instead. My boyfriend had chicken and vegetable wok which was tasteless and dry. People on the table next to us talked to the waiter for me to ask him about the pasta and he laughed and said this... More

People, don't underestimate this place. Really good pizzas, served the Argentine way. A local friend took me there :) It's worth it, and in my opinion, actually a pocket-friendly option.

I saw many of these all over BA but we visited the one's on Callou. The pizzas and empanadas were good and cheap. I especially liked they medialunas y cafe con leche. We ate there quite a bit. I'd go again.

Asked for a slice of mozzarella. Nothing but thick bread and speck of cheese! Across from my hotel, Savoy, but don't go. This is from me. I tell the truth because I love food!

There are lots of La Continental pizzerias in Buenos Aires. The pizza is good, specially the fugazetta, filled with jam and cheese. There is one in front of Recoleta Cementery but you can finde one in each neighbourhood. Cheap.

We ate at La Contiental a few blocks from the Savoy Hotel. The food was good and price was reasonable. I had beef empanadas and my husband had a hamburger with fries. We went back again the next day for lunch and I had the ham and cheese empandas and he had the ham and cheese sandwich on a croisssant.... More

There appear to be many La Contiental locations around Buenos Aires. That said its like Mc Donalds you can always find one but the food is not always the best. The restaurants are clean and the food is unremarkable but available when you are hungry.

La Continental is a hidden gem, as it has great food, for a good price, and it is right off of corrientes. restaurants half a block away will have the same dishes for up to twice the price.

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
