Went "early" on a Friday night enjoyed quick and attentive service in this characterful bar/cafe. Plenty of locals coming and going for meals, with share plates loaded with meats, cheeses, olives, etc. The table of 20-something girls seemed happy with their freshly squeezed juices and...More

This was our first night in BA, so we hadn't quite got the hang of figuring out the menu. We were staying just around the corner, so decided to venture in - it's a beautiful old pub. The staff were very welcoming, and tried to...More

Don't go. We've got a really bad experience there. We went for lunch today and we expected a busy restaurant as is a "bank holiday" in Buenos Aires but the waitress who serves as was in the Moon and she gave us an awful customer...More

I love coming to Bar El Federal. In Argentina, when you order an aperitif, it comes with chips, peanuts and small snacks. For 75 pesos more, you can get an assortment of sliced meats to accompany it. The service at Bar El Federal is fantastic!...More

I really wanted this place to workout. I really did. The service was disrespectfully slow, to the point the servers seemed mad because we were there. I have to say the food was slow, and quite bad, very bad for Buenos Aires standards. I love...More

A walk around San Telmo is very interesting with its old buildings and arty feel. The bar is also part of this vibe, however on our visit most of the customers were obviously tourists. Our lunch of sandwiches and beer was fine, no english menu...More

I went there twice during my journey in Argentina, for my very first meal and for the last one. I was satisfied in both situations: the meat is delicious, especially the lomo! And you can have both a light version with veggies, as I did,...More

Good atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a picadillas plate, tasty and nice for sharing. The chips, bread and peanuts are waiting on the bar to be served and consuming oxygen and are therefor not as fresh.

San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San
Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made
Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many
different cultures: a true child of immigration, much

locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee
hours of the morning. During the day, the antique
