We were sent here by a suggestions from our hotel staff. It was are first experience, for this trip, for Argentina beef. The experience was great. We of course sat for over 2 hours eating various courses of food and drinking wine. Great service as well. We felt this beef was better than the experience we had at Cabrera....and returned... More

Highly recommended by local wine shop owner since the highly regarded Parillas close by are all full, should have taken that as a divine intervention and stay away, anyway, hindsight is 20/20. We saw drilled tripe on the menu, I have eaten tripe in various cousins and are eager to try this, well, their tripe is the small intestine, not... More

Had a family meal out here and it was fantastic from the service, menu choice to the food and atmosphere. Typical Argentinan food with great bbq meat etc. Lovely helpful staff with a brilliant overall experience and one which we would do again.

Have been back to Buenos Aires after 3 years of absence and some friends took me for lunch at this "unknown " place for me. It was love at first sight ! An old store ("almacen") back in the late 40's and then moved into a restaurant in the 50's. Felt like going back in time ! Of course my... More

My husband and I ordered the bife de chorizo. I ordered mine jugoso and it was over-cooked. The salad and purée de papa were great. A homeless woman came up to us and asked to save our leftovers and then lingered over us the rest of our meal. The food was ok, a little over-priced and I have had better... More

We tried this restaurant on our last day after 15 days in BA and it was one of the best attentive service we've experienced there. The food was good but my limited Spanish was able to ask the waiter to make something special as it was my girlfriend's birthday and he comped us with 2 glasses of champagne without me... More

The place was great. Old style, with many locals. The starters are really good. Loved the chorizo. The salad was just a bunch of slices of tomato and leaves of lettuce. No dressing at all. I had to ask for it. Then the most disappointing part: the "ojo de bife". We got it well done when we asked for medium.... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
