This is an excellent choice for a great steak dinner. I ordered the rib-eye. It was a huge piece of meat that was very tender, juicy and had little fat. The service was excellent as was the food. The chorizo was delicious. The French fries...were not so good. They were boiled potatoes fried in oil to make them crispy. I recommend that you ask the waiter to pick out your cut of meat.More

Don Julio lived up to it’s reputation during our recent dinner. Exceptional steak, friendly and personalized service and great ambiance. The upstairs seating overlooking the main floor was prime. They even served complimentary champagne outside while we waited for our reservation!

We dined on a Tuesday evening. The service was exceptional and all of the staff were outstanding. we had been told that Don Julio was one of the best restaurants in all of Latin America. We ordered homemade sausages as a starter and they were...good, but not great. We then requested short ribs and prime rib and they were delicious, but no more so than another restaurant we had visited the night before. Honestly, the highlight of the evening was the dulce de leche ice cream we were served after dinner. They make their own ice cream and do a fine job.More

Simple and welcoming place, very good service and the main, the meat ... One of the best parrilla restaurants I've ever been. The price is not low but the experience is worth.

I loved the place, the service was amazing, our server (Leo if I'm not wrong) was great. the lady at the entrance I have to say that was a bit rude. Everything we ate was very good and tasty. I like that they use whatever...is on season, we had cauliflower. The cellar was beautiful and a great variety.More

The night starts with a glass of sparkling wine while you wait to get sat. We ended up on the street side, which was perfect with the cool weather. We had the grilled provolone with greens, which was excellent. For our main, we shared a...porterhouse. The sides were mashed potatoes, sliced beets with blood orange, and simple green salad. The latter three were excellent. The potatoes were blended with what I believe was béchamel, and I think nutmeg is going to be a staple of my mashed potatoes going forward. The star of the show, the porterhouse, was mediocre. Parts were perfectly cooked (jugoso) while others were cooked to well done. The rare parts tasted like an okay steak, while the others were flavorless. The wine list was excellent. We got a bottle of Poligonos Malbec, which was bang on for a steak. The dessert as well was wonderful. Almond ice cream topped with dulce de lèche, perfect. Our waiter too was wonderful. The only drawback was the steak!More

Hands down THE best steakhouse in BA. The best steaks we have ever had. Fantastic, super attentive service to the free champagne given to guests while they wait, this restaurant is the best! You may have to wait long for a table but definitely worth...it.More

I tried to make a reservation with almost a month in advance and it was not possible. Then, I decided to arrive as earlier as possible and within 15min was seated outside, after being served with a glass of sparkling wine. Service, food and wine...were excelent. Highly recommended.More

This is the 'restaurant of the moment' so you need to book a reservation well in advance as the restaurant gets full very quickly. It's a nice restaurant with great food, the dishes are well serve so if you are by yourself you won't be...able to eat everything. It's the hype restaurant so this is why is always full, there are other restaurants with the same concept and price that you don't need to book in advance, but if you want to come here at least 1x for the experience, it's worth itMore

This is clearly more of a tourist spot than a local one, but it was our best overall dining experience in Buenos Aires (and we dined with a local). Basic food done exquisitely, with phenomenal service and ambiance. A bottle of Malbec, tenderloin steak, short...ribs, with mashed potatoes and the dulce de lech crepes for dessert. Definitely make a reservation.More
