Good parrilla and bustling for a reason

Good, simple, and cheap parrilla that was a block from our apartment. Stick with the red meats. My husband ordered chicken and didn't like it too much although we brought half of it home and had it the next day for lunch and the chicken was better day 2. Recommendable.

This place is unbeatable. Delicious authentic Argentine food at very reasonable prices. What's more the wine is even better value than the food! It's true that the service is usually slow but I've eaten here 25 times over the years and never left disappointed.

This place serves very basic "country" food. . .they do not take plastic or accept reservations, so be prepared to wait in line on weekend s for lunch or any night after 9pm.

I absolutely love this restaurant. With outdoor seating on a cobbled street, even under trees, it gives a very European vibe. Beautiful to sit outside on a summer evening and it's very very popular. The food is delicious and comes in huge portions. Being a vegetarian there is a lot of choice between vegetables and, my personal favourite, the vegetarian... More

Great food, great atmosphere and definitely not expensive for what you get! I definitely recommend it! Make sure you go early because it gets very busy after 9pm (every night of the week).

Came here based on Lonely planet recommendation- had bad experience. The waiters speak not a lick of English. The more I tried the explain to him that I wanted my steak medium-rare the more well-done it arrived! I was so ticked off half way through the chewy meal that I decided to order another steak -- and cried "medio raro... More

I got the Las Cholas Bife sampler plate, 159 pesos- it was huge make sure you go hungry. I really enjoyed the addition of grilled peppers and provolone. You really have to ask for the meat to be medium rare...

A good place I had visited many times with friends and couples of friends. Excellent barbeque, if you are not a meat eater I suggest to order 1 plate for 2 people otherwise it is too much for one person. The full BBQ dish for 2 is enough for 4 people with standard appetite and quite enough for 2 or... More

A group of us were recommended this place by a local and were very impressed! It's got a great family restaurant vibe and the prices are reasonable. The food was good and the portion sizes were huge. But one thing: as with many places in Argentina they seem to overcook the steak so maybe order one level under what you... More

Don't let the cheap prices fool you, the food is of the up most quality, and the prices are half to 3/4 cheaper than all of the restaurants we went to in Buenos Aries. It was recommended by our hosts, and boy was it good, Wine, 1 litre of beer, steak and sides for about $17 US! Wish there was... More

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
