Traveling in BA with our ex-pat son and one of his co-workers recommended this restaurant right by the Polo fields and in a very hip area of town. We visited on a Saturday evening. The food and atmosphere were great! We may have been the only Americans in the place. Service was excellent. The guys had Argentine beef and watched... More

I still cannot believe that you can buy a bottle of wine and a full plate of world-class asado and other incredible grilled foods for under 200 pesos (~$13, USD). Las Cholas was one of my favorite dining experiences in the city, and well within reach in regards to distance. One of our plates took a little longer than expected,... More

Excellent beef! Huge portions. You can every part of the cow and it will taste awesome. Very good prices! Only one con, is always full and noisy.

We arrived early (7:30pm) and the place was nearly empty, by the time we left there was barely a free table. I have been on the hunt for the perfect piece of Argentine steak, and these guys fit the bill with the bife de chorizo - it was amazing, and huge. The wine was great, service was good, and it... A recurring problem for me in Buenos Aires: overcooked meat. At Las Cholas the meat was prepared perfectly pink - so just there the restaurant gets a plus. Me and a friend of mine went to Las Cholas late one night, starving and in the need of some good food. Our host in the city recommended this neighborhood restaurant, and... More

I prefer my meat well done and I read reviews where people wrote that their meat was on the grill a bit too long. Unfortunately, our meat barely touched the grill. After waiting a very long time with no food and seeing people who arrived after us eating their meals, we asked what happen with our order. I think our... More

found it after a long walk looking for a place to dinner. as time passed the restaurant was full of people having dinner. the food is really good, prices are low considering the wide choice and big portions. the diversed menu makes you want go again to try other dishes.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
