The best empanadas I have eaten in Buenos Aires! Sooo delicious! And you get them served almost immediately. The staff is super friendly, so you feel like at home. Prices are also welcoming. I love this restaurant! Note: - they are often full, so make...More

Our 1st night in Buenos Aires & stumbled upon this restaurant as it was near our hotel - it was buzzing at 8.30pm & we luckily managed to get a table in the basement. Throughout the night - each table did many turns & customers...More

We had just flown into BA, and needed a quick lunch....El Sanjuanino was perfect....delicious empanadas and a delightful Lentil stew, along with a half bottle of Malbec....just what we needed. The restaurant is not fancy, we were seated downstairs....but the smells from the kitchen when...More

I had my first Argentinian empanada, followed by hearty lentil soup. Along with a half bottle of Malbec. I’m definitely planning a revisit!

The place is small and inexpensive. The empanadas are not the best I've tried, but they are OK, and it seem to be quite popular with locals. Their wine list is rather limited.

You feel comfortable, you feel great. Go there more than once, you will feel better and eat better, because you get to know the staff and what dishes you like the most.

It’s the only place in Buenos Aires we returned for the food, the simple traditional setting and a surprisingly lacking of tourist considering its great location. Whether it’s the delicious and perfectly cooked Milanesa de Pollo, or the Bife de Chorizo steak, it’s all simply...More

Not a huge place, so best to arrive when it opens at about 7. The empanadas are great, among the best we had in Argentina (and we had them almost every lunch and dinner as a starter). Service was quick. Decor is pretty simple. They...More

My wife and I booked a table and was a good idea to do that. The place does get extremely busy, they also cater for take-away . I ordered steak and it was enormous and cooked to perfection, my wife had the exotic salad as...More

Empanadas were good. We tried the baked ones with carne suave, carne fuerte, and pollo. I think my expectations were too high because of how popular it is.

It would be best if you make reservations, as the place is not that big and tourists flock to taste their empanadas
