This is a beautiful restaurant with very friendly service. It is located in one of the nicest sections of Puerto Madero and surrounded by a few other excellent Argentine beef restaurants. As shown in one of the attached photos, our water was very friendly and a touch on the comic side. He provided great friendly service and our meals came... More

A very nice place to try the local meat and also try a mixture of Argentinian and Brazilian food. Excellent plane with an excellent service. The only thing is that you must expect to pay the price...

Visited this restaurant by mistake, it's the one with the cow out the front and while the staff and service was good we were very disappointed with the food. I ordered the eye fillet and it was tough to eat, little flavour and by no means tender, in fact I left half it on my plate.

We were walking along the Puerto Madero, and had just enjoyed a visit to the "Uruguay", when the heavens opened. A true port in a storm. We enjoyed a light lunch, and interesting chat to the English couple at the adjoing table.

More affordable option in Puerto Madero, good steaks, good service, good wine. We tried to get a table outside by the channel but it was all booked. Steaks were done as requested. Overall pleasant experience.

I read a bunch of reviews before deciding to go to this restaurant. I cannot say it was a bad experience, but it was not as good as I expected, especially because of the price. It does not worth it. First of all, the front desk did not have my reservation that was done on line. Second, the servers were... More

Really nice restaurant! We were there with our three children aged 5-13. Great childrens menu that comes with crayons. Great service and really great steak! And a really beautiful restaurant. Definetly the best restaurant we visited during our stay!

We chose the "cena" for 399 pesos each. It was pretty good. The meat was nice and tender, tasty and with little salt, which is great. Deserts were fine yet toooo sweet. The waiter ( half Brazilian) was very kind, something quite uncommon. The place is also very nice and comfortable. I would go back, definitively.

I ordered dishes from the typical menu, First and second plate + dessert, the food was good but not great, and the price was very expensive for a dinner without wine. My advice is to order separate dishes and not the "full" menu, the place is great and a great view from Porto Madero, but very expensive if you don't... More

we arrived 7 guys for a Business dinner, eventually the waiter took our orders for appetizer/maincourse and wine, only 1 appetizer appeared, it did not occur to the waiter, who was really really inexperienced that maybe more people would have liked Entre, so we had to split my sausage 7 ways.....then the steaks arrived, which was all good and tasty,... Description
LA CABAÑA is the most traditional restaurant in Buenos Aires. Established in 1935, it serves the best Argentine beef on the grill accompanied by excellent wine, a menu that turned La Cabaña into a source of inspiration for local cooking and that has been widely replicated all over the town.We invite you to enjoy any of our grilled beef cuts and, if you are willing to wait for an hour, you can have a unique experience tasting our classic "Great Baby Beef" - we suggest you do, savoring a glass of wine and in nice company. You do not get to know the purest Argentine cuisine without visiting our restaurant.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighborhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighborhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolize this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
