Ate dinner here one night and glad we found this place. The food was a decent serving, well cooked and delicious. House wine was also good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Not a fancy restaurant but just good simple food. All in all would recommend.

Having read through the TA reviews we decided to make our way to this traditional side street eatery . It was 5pm normally too late for lunch but too early for dinner , however there were several tables with what appeared to be local families sitting at them chatting , eating and enjoying a beer and this is exactly what... Great place to order petiscos(Portuguese tapas) pica pau (tender pork in tasty sauce), clams, caracois (tiny snails) and the specialty of the house moelas(chicken gizzards)! Lots of other items on the menu too for the less adventurous - like breaded turkey or chicken cutlets. House wine and frantic but efficient service make it a local favorite.

Superb meal and service by our waitress Paula. Delicious food, carafe of wine, bread and bottled water -- all for 18 euros, plus (well-deserved) tip. We liked it so much, we went back a second night during the Euro soccer tourney. You'll love their veal with Templar sauce and the clay-pot baked liver and mushrooms.

I have visited Fernando's place for longer then I can imagine. Maybe 15 years since he opened? This place is suitable for the typical portuguese finger food "tapas-style" eating, with a beer and some warming noise. I love going there for a beer or two and an octopus salad or similar , specially outside so I can be with my... More

One of rare places where you can have late lunch. We've been here after 4pm - most of other places were close. Food is simple, cheap (6-9 euro for mains) but very tasty! There is a menu on many languages and there is also TV which shows all the dishes! According to other reviews seems quite popular among locals. Would... More

We have once again returned from 3 days break in Tomar. This restaurant serves typical Portuguese fare in a simple environment and very good prices. I tried the typical Portuguese "caracois" for starters and was pleasantly surprised. The pork "Febras" and "Bitoque" were also great. Highly recommended.

The food was super tasty and came in generous amounts, still being super cheap (full meal with drinks and coffees stays around 10€ per person). Also, "Cervejaria Do Fernando" was the only place in Tomar that served us after 3pm, contrary to the other places that close their kitchens around 2:30/3 pm. It's the coolest place to go with friends,... More

Cheap and plenty portions of typical local cuisine. You get a lot of food. Two of us ate with wine for 17euro and didn't; eat all on our plates. Bust lace, lots of locals lining up to get in, some families. We sat inside but there are many table outside too - in the small alley which it is located... More

They seemed to be a favourite of the locals. There were many dishes that apply in this region. I had the baked bacalao and was not really impressed, probably a bad choice on my part. The local sausage was also habit odd by worth trying. Be prepared to eat local and differently.
