My title says it all. Sorry! But my cup runneth over here and when compared with the dishonesty of Grupa Naval also Olhao here what you see is what you get. And the food never stopped coming, wide variety of fish and good supply of...veg. Volta I will indeed. Excellent service tooMore

I don’t say this lightly but writing this a year and a half after visiting I still remember this as one of my favourite restaurant experiences ever. The simplicity of the concept and the quality of the execution - quality ingredients well prepared and presented...in an uncomplicated way. Feels like a family bbq. Couldn’t recommend enough.More

"All you can eat"for 12 euros, good varieties of fish; Fish is grilled just right and served right away and is served with lovely tomato salad Algarvian style, boiled potatoes and sweet potatoes; also served with acorda (bread-garlic-cilantro pudding) really delicious; nice deserts and good coffee....Friendly and efficient service. Due to the pandemic open hours are from 12PM to 15PM better to arrive early as it was very busy by 12.30PM.More

Simply outstanding lunch experience. Open 12-3 for lunch - cannot book so get there early! A friendly welcome and then sit down for a never ending feast of the freshest seafood caught that morning - you don’t need to order - it just keeps coming....The most incredible value and great atmosphere - a host makes you so welcome and the BBQ master of the grill is equally awesome. Don’t miss it - a must to spend a lazy afternoon.More

Great atmosphere in a small restaurant that serves grilled fish. Prices have increased and it's now €12 for all you can eat grilled fish. You're given a small starter of bread, olives, and tuna paste. Then a mixture of potatoes, salad and açorda. After this...a plate of fresh grilled fish, that includes salmon and mackerel will be brought to your table. At this point they'll keep bringing a selection of fresh grilled fish to your table until you ask them to stop. At €12 it's great value. The restaurant gets very busy so get there early!More

We were on walkabout in Olhao and stumbled across this restaurant in a small square. The smells were fantastic and the place was jammed.Loads of talk.We came back a while later and managed to get seats. The menu listed the vegetables of the day and fish.No details...of types, just said fish.Shortly after we sat down a platter of barbequed fish arrived. The waiter, who also operated the bbq, told us what fish were on the platter. At least 3 fish each!We dug in with gusto.Just as we finished, the waiter came along with another full platter of different fish.We struggled to eat but gamely persevered. No sooner finished than a third platter arrived! We had to refuse as we were bursting. We had a small carafe of wine each plus coffee and the total bill was €27.Unbelievable.The staff were fantastic, very warm and welcoming.Food was fantastic, hose wine very palatable. We are going to the Algarve again shortly and will definitely pay a return visit to Vai e Volta.More

To experience a true Portuguese meal, eat here! It,s packed with friendly local and seasonal people. First you,re brought olives, bread and wine, anchovies, etc. Then the grilled fish is brought to the table, many varieties, repeatedly, as well as fresh salsa, potatoes and sweet...potatoes, and a savory bread pudding. Very affordable, too! Obrigada!More
