This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. We have visited a lot of wine estates and eaten at several and this is by far the best in terms of value, quality and service. The menu is imaginative and the food is perfectly cooked. The dining room overlooks the vines and mountains.Unlike most taster menus, at Clos Malverne they are... More

Food was good and well presented but sadly the place is so busy that it loses it a bit. A very noisy room and speedy ultra busy waiters made us feel like being in a school canteen rather than in a fancy restaurant. Pity, because the place is really beautiful and the staff friendly but this restaurant simply seems to... More

We had a great table today and were highly motivated for a great experience. Service and ambience perfect and the wine pairing worked well with some adjustments from our side. Great food but my main dish of asparagus and mascarpone ravioli was a disaster as acknowledged by the competent lady manager and taken of the bill. We would certainly come... More

My first ever review and what a great start. Found Clos Malverne on Trip Advisor and it met and exceeded all expectations. Have the set menu with matching wines -amazing food, wonderful wines, excellent service and incredible value for money.

Put this restaurant at the top of your list! Have the lunch with wine pairings- fabulous value and the menu is designed around the estate wines and the results are exquisite! Noted also the great service, sadly NOT often a given in these parts. A special mention to Bongi our waitress who enhanced an altogether great day!

Had a lovely lunch with nice wines and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food was good, wine was good. If pairings were not always to your taste, staff were sensitive to personal preferences and happy to swap for wines you preferred. As a coeliac staff understood this and were able to direct me to dishes that were suitable, of which there... More

Visited for the spring food & wine pairing! 4 courses including a glass of recommended wine for each course for approx £24 per head! My starter was a seafood creamy pot which undoubtedly was the best starter I've ever tasted! I did pay a extra 28 rand for the springbok main meal which I fully recommend! Stunning views whilst eating... More

Travelled the world and the food here is as good as it gets! Ignore the negative reviews as they are most likely from the average competitors trying to bring the rating down.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday and it was a great fine dining experience, something we don't usually do. Service was great and nicely paced. Food was fantastic too.

We have recently celebrated a combined birthday and graduation day with a lunch at Clos Malverne. What a treat! The wine was excellent, the food was great and the service commendable. Our waiter Rafael looked after us like a real pro, we could not have asked for better service. The cherry on the cake was the view from the terrace!... More
