One of the first signature chef restaurants in the Cape Winelands, the Jordan Restaurant with George Jardine brings top chef George Jardine’s brand of contemporary fare from city to country. The focus on the flavours of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients is evident from his kitchen vegetable and herb garden to wine barrel fish smoker and wood-fired oven. Expect smoky, smouldering country flavours in simple combinations on a contemporary plate – with signature smoked yellowtail, steamed Saldanha mussels, seared ribeye and springbok potroast. The main ingredient is enhanced by smoked garlic, aubergine, fennel, prune or potato puree. A trip to the walk-in cheese room to select your own board…

Perfect for a lunch between tasting wines at the many different vineyards. Very nice staff with outstanding service. As a starter I recommend the gnocchi! For dessert they offer a wide selection of cheese.
We have eaten here several times over the last five years or so. It has been one of our favourites. Food was good. Their mussels are always a winner. Steaks were well cooked but the pepper sauce was disappointing both in taste and quantity. Soufflet...More
What a lovely spot. Great views and great food. I keep coming back even though I’m not a great fan of Jordan wines. But George Jardine’s food is special. The mussels starter is always my favourite. If in doubt have the soufflé. Just a lovely...More

impossible to do better, beautiful hostess and friendly staff, it was delightful and the view is breath taking, located in an almost unattainable place but worth exploring, you think for a moment that there is nothing left and then it happens, whaaaaaaw a place of...More

I've been at Jordan's before and have very nice memories of the lunch I've had here 2 years ago. That is why I decided to book us for another lunch this holiday season - but that was a big disappointment. First of all, the menu...More
It started on a wrong foot. For a large party there is a non-refundable reservation fee you have to pay in advance, which is difficult concept for a top restaurant. However, this sets the tune: the location is as remembered, phantastically perched in the wine...More
We have been to Jordan 4 or 5 times and this will be the last, an absolute shambles.
Despite advertising “vegan” (including on trip advisor) no such option exists. We asked what they would be able to prepare, the chef was too busy to consider...More

No this is not really child friendly at all - the main restaurant is really 'fine dining' so nothing on the menu for youngsters. It has to be booked weeks in advance and as one of the award winning restaurant in SA it is very popular! However, they do have a bakery next door which offers a lighter more informal option on the terrace or indoors (or even by the dam) which is more child friendly. So you could do a wine tasting and then have lunch at the bakery perhaps?
