I loved the warthog - - when else do you get a chance to eat Pumbaa? My husband tried the kudu, which was a little rare for his taste. This was our favorite dinner in Cape Town. Also, we requested a reservation online and they...More

This is a lovely little restaurant that serves up fine dining in downtown Cape Town. It's not little in quaint but just right in size. It's more like a boutique hotel of a restaurant. We had 2x bottles Shiraz selection and both were excellent. I...More

My wife and I have been to a few Mitchelin starred restaurants across Europe and although this one is not rated as such it gets close to it. The real bonus is that the pound sterling is so strong against the rand at the moment...More

Coming to this institution for years and love the food. Decor remains the same sparse industrial look, but the building being a heritage site, it adds charm and character. Service is still excellent, but sometimes when the place is not full, or when the weather...More

The best dinner that I had in Cape Town. Great starter, lamb was perfectly cooked and desert was great. So impressed I went again several days later. The first dinner (lamb) was outstanding! The second (steak ) very good. Outstanding staff!!

We came across this restaurant by chance when the restaurant we had planned to eat at was closed. Serendipity because the food at Savoy Cabbage was wonderful. The menu was exciting, the food was wonderful and the very knowledgeable waiting staff enhanced the experience. We...More

Savoy Cabbage is in a very old building that has been wonderfully renovated in a way that kept its unique charm. The walls are exposed brick and the front wall is dominated by two huge arched leaded glass windows. Tables are sprinkled about on the...More

We had been looking foward to a evening at the Savory Cabbage after reading the reviews. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by a friendly Manager who took us straight upstairs to our table. Our table has views of the whole table and...More

I am sorry you did not stay to even sample our food. You are incorrect in saying we advertise cheese soufflé as our speciality. It is one of a repertoire of dishes that appears on our menu from time to time. The website clearly says...More

Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
