We went in a group of 8. Ambience was nice but food was only 5/10 compared to other TOP 10 restaurants on trip advisor. We had the wild boar which was the best of the bunch. The steak was overcooked and bland. The zebra was interesting

A really special meal; excellent food that is creatively cooked and presented. Very professional and friendly staff: Inama, our server was lovely and very knowledgeable. I wish we had a branch in the UK!

We celebrated a birthday at this charming, atmospheric restaurant. Both service and food were excellent. And a nice touch, to present the birthday boy with a decorated plate of dessert, to share.

We ate here after a full-day of touring. The service and meals were excellent and the interior of the restaurant very chic.

There are loads of restaurants in Cape Town that are very good but this one came recommended from the hotel and it was nearby. It was very much like many restaurants we find in San Francisco Bay area, but at a much lower price point. The menu was creative without being crazy and the quality of food and service was... More

We had an amazing meal here. There was a good choice of food and wine. The staff were courtious and helpful. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants to choose in Cape Town but if you want good food and something more upmarket from the norm then try here. Prices were very reasonable for this... More

Savoy Cabbage offers an intimate dinning experience in an atmospheric setting. The raw brick wall with the light pendants shaped as cabbage leaves all added to the experience. The wait staff were excellent and attentive, providing discreet but eloquent service. The food was tasty and well presented with good sized portions, we skipped entrees so we could have dessert and... More

Very smart decor. We booked on the day so there was only one time slot available (early). My brined warthog tasted exactly like run of the mill pork loin and the vegetables that came with it were equally lacklustre. My companion declared his veal liver to be very tasty and well up to expectations. Service was a little pretentious. Prices... More

The food here is really first rate and there are some interesting game choices on the menu. I find the atmosphere a bit more stilted than some of the other places in town, but that does make it feel like a real special occasion spot.

Superb food without attitude. Comfortable. Relaxed. Convenient. Sprawls through an old building that feels quite homey, yet elegant. If you are American, a highlight of the year is Thanksgiving Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
