We enjoyed a delicious dinner in this lovely restaurant. The whole experience was excellent and enhanced by our first rate waiter, Michael (I think). He guided us throughthe menu, offered helpful suggestions and brought us tastes of wines before we ordered a bottle, Every course was first rate. The tomato tart was fabulous as was my husbands almond and grape... More

We made a spontaneous reservation and were absolutely amazed! First of all the staff is super nice, friendly and attentive! The interior is beautiful and the whole restaurant has a very nice atmosphere (modern, rustic and chic). Oh yes....and the food is absolutely delicious! Thanks for a lovely evening!

Nice place with good service. The food was nice if not spectacular. My wife had the tomato tart to start with, which she said lacked flavour, my cheese souffle was lovely. Mains she had the fish main course which looked and tasted superb, and was my Eland. We finished with both having the sorbet which was nice. It was a... More

We enjoyed dinner here last year and booked ahead to secure a table again this year. The quality of food and service is outstanding. We took friends with us this year and they were very impressed.

Having been to this restaurant over many years remembering even when it was a little scary to go there, we went because the food, ambiance, service and hospitality was worth it. We went again this evening, Feb 14th and were met with a complete disappointment. We had to pay in advance due to Valentines Day and it was a set... More

Our dinner for two at Savoy was unsatisfactory. Two courses took two hours to get out if the kitchen. Food was below average in presentation and flavorless in taste. Our waitress was friendly. Surely this can't be the Savoy that everyone raves about?!

We stayed at the Cape Heritage Hotel, which has several great restaurants right there in Heritage Square. Our meal at Savoy Cabbage was delicious, with great service. Interesting meats, not found on American menus, included zebra, warthog, and ostrich sausage. I would certainly recommend this restaurant as one that was warm, friendly, and as I said, delicious!

Not sure how this restaurant professes to be high service. On a Monday night we waited 1 1/2 hours for entrees to be delivered. It felt like a restaurant still trying to work out the kinks but we know that it's an old established place. Our server was good, but the kitchen was very slow. Food was OK. Not that... More

As soon as I heard of your experience I emailed you personally to apologise but I feel it also fitting to respond on Trip Advisor in case readers think this is a normal occurrence. Interesting menu, and very tasty food. Expensive by CP standards, but cheap to a European. Nice environment, good service.

I have been coming here regularly for the last ten years. I am reviewing it again, because inexplicably, it seems to be experiencing a run of bad reviews. I can only suggest a couple of possible reasons. Cape Town diners are notoriously fickle and always jumping on the bandwagon of the trendy new place in town, and diners, from the... More

Description
Enjoy creative contemporary cooking in a visually exciting venue. With its historic Table Mountain stone and old brick that dates back to the 18th century, architect Leon Saven's design is complemented by glass, concrete and exposed ducting. Cabbage motif chandeliers and salt dishes, fine table appointments and impeccable service reflect outstanding attention to detail. The menu alters daily, using the freshest local produce and combines unusual flavours to excite the palate of the discerning diner. A boutique wine list which is very reasonably priced.
