My wife, son and I had an amazing experience here at Africa Cafe. I can't thank the staff enough for being so helpful, thoughtful and understanding towards us... Leo for being so nice on the phone when we booked, Minty our beautiful waitress, Jennifer for giving us the lovely gifts to remember South Africa, Kevin one of the managers and... More

3 floors of great food, excellent entertainment by the singers and drummers and really good, dedicated service. All the staff are African and they know good service and how to treat customers well. We really had a great time with drumming, singing and face painting at the table so the evening was filled with laughter & the majority of my... More

I ate here during a recent visit to Cape Town with my family. Whilst it was nice to taste African food and experience some African culture, overall it was a pretty poor experience. It was way overpriced compared to anywhere else we ate in Cape Town (of a much higher standard) and the service was really poor. We sat for... More

A friend had just become an advocate and wanted to catch up over a QUICK meal to tell me how he was getting on. I was so sorry to have suggested we eat at the Africa Cafe. We are both vegetarians and was served samples of what was to come later. Unfortunately it took so long to come as we... More

Get the REAL feeling of so many African regional dishes from Mozambique to Zimbabwe. No menu, simply dish after dish of amazing and delicious food! We didn't have room to even try dessert. Service is great, warm and inviting. With a little African singing, drumming and dancing, you'll leave feeling welcomed to another country with a lot of culture to... More

I'm Cameroonian so I can vouch for authentic food that is well seasoned, and this is it. They served us something exactly the same as beignet made in my culture, which was delicious, but I also loved the coconut chicken. I appreciated that the food was actually spicy! At home all I eat is spicy food and it was hard... More

The food was amazing and the service was very unique. It was great to sample lots of different types of foods. The waiters sang and painted faces. Very fun place to visit for a touristy experience.

Came to the Africa Cafe on our last night in Cape Town. Is it touristy? Yes, but that's what makes it so wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious and has tons of vegetarian options, which isn't easy to come by in some foreign countries. All of the waitstaff was lovely, and took the time to get to know my husband... More
