Top notch food aswell as pastries.. I was gold that bibi's was started in the Owners garage and I'm so glad they got to this point because they are truly one of Cape towns hidden gems. They are abit pricey but value for your money

Bibi's Kitchen offers a small sit-down space which is very basic in its amenities, but the food is excellent. There is a range of options from rice dishes such as biryani to fish dishes, and sandwiches. They also have a range of savouries, mostly fried,...but some baked. The sweet dishes are excellent too. We especially enjoy the koeksisters which are consistently good, as well as their milk tart, butter biscuits and chocolate mousse. They also sell frozen savouries and koeksisters. Staff are efficient and friendly. There is usually free parking available just outside. We have never been disappointed.More

Whether it's a wholesome roti or some delectable sweet treat, Bibi's is the place. I'd eat there all the time (if I could afford it!) The staff are super friendly and helpful. Well worth the wait.

I go back to Bibis again and again and I am never disappointed. I start with the mango lassi and then have the prawn chart, which, if it is possible, seems to just get better and better! Those little desserts are my weakness and the...variety has me taking home more than I should. At the counter is the most delightful variety of savories and biscuits, which one can not resist to take home for later! This is not a restaurant for fine dinning and is more for takeaway food however one can eat there however don’t expect a 5star service, one goes there for the pure pleasure of eating good food!More

Having enjoyed their biryani in past years, we though take away portions would be a good option for a family lunch. How wrong we were. The food was opened and served immediately we got home but it was so dry and tasteless it may have...been better to consume the menu. We tried to add sauce to add life to the pitiful meal before us but sadly it was beyond saving. Two calls to Bibis to complain (the first when we opened the food and the second after tasting it) elicited no viable solution. The family lunch was now a disaster and we had to apologize to our family, defrost a chicken in the fridge and will have a very late lunch. Bibis.... you will not see me again !More

Back when they were a full on restaurant, we would go eat there as a family atleast once a month which is testament to the amazing dining experience they offered. I've been a handful of times since they closed the restaurant and must say i...havnt been satisfied the same way since. Last night i ordered my favourite dish, their legendary prawn chaat. It was actually bland, and when you spend the amount of money that you do there, you expect that amazing bibis flavour. It just feels mechanical now. There's no care when they serve you and you can taste the lack of passion in the dishes. I think they holding onto that amazing reputation which they did earn but now don't deserve any longer in my opinion. High price tag for very plain offerings and service not the friendliest.More

An amazing experience, I felt like a child in a candy store, every dish is as appetising as it looks. Prawn chatt is a must don't leave the cape without tasting this.

We phoned through our order and went to collect it. Although there was a little confusion about the order, it was quickly rectified. All the food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. The chicken biryani portion size was enough for 2 and perhaps...the best I’d ever eaten! The food was warm and fresh, and not too spicy. It was a little pricey, but worth it. Our family will definitely order from here again!More

Very tasty and authentic curry with a menu that is very varied. I do find that the price is above average, and (even for a sit-down/take-away) they can try to improve the experience.

Last week I found myself on sick leave and decided to order some lunch in, knowing bibis food I though it was a safe bet as I know them to put out yummy foods and cakes unfortunately that was not the case this time. I...ordered their mixed grill at R155 so I was expecting a tasty meal when I got the meal the salads were soggy, the actual big piece of meat in the pack was off, initially I thought since Im ill my taste buds were off so I just put it side but then my mom tasted it and said it was definitely off and we threw it away. To be fair I also purchases their garlic naan and chicken samoosas which was tasty and helped get rid of the after taster left by their grill. So for any looking to get chow from them maybe stick to their Indian inspired dishes and away from the mix grill.More
