I tried the bobotie here and found it to be nicely prepared and very flavourful. Staff were also friendly and very accommodating - as the restaurant was full and I was flying off the next morning they allowed me to sit on the balcony - with a view of table mountain! Go here if you want to sample authentic Cape... More

We went on a Saturday night and unexpectedly there was a buffet on offer. Maybe it's every Saturday night. The food was good but it was only Luke warm. I asked for my main to have a burst in the microwave and that made a real difference. They do themselves A disservice by offering such cold food.

Recently went with a whole group of people and fussy eaters. The food was absolutely incredible, and because it is buffet style, everyone could help themselves according to their own preference. Great to have such a variety of local dishes to try - from curries to bobotie and homemade rotis. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it really felt... More

Nicely prepared fresh food. A menu that includes some Cape Malay items. Nice view of Cape Town. Pleasant service.

I will never go there again. Portions small for the price you pay. I had to hunt for my prawns and the meat dishes had more bones than anything else. Everybody was mega unhappy.

Very nice place, with great views of Table Mountain, but as we couldn't get in at lunch (in other words, reserve in advance), we went for dinner. The views don't work at night! There are some very good vegetarian options. Remember it's alcohol free.

It was a long hot walk up Longmarket street but it was definitely worth it. The view of Table Mountain is a great backdrop to some great food. I had butter bean curry, my wife had lamb panang, both were delicious. The rotis were amazing too. The table next to us had mixed dishes like thalis which looked excellent but... More

We recently celebrated my Dad's 89th birthday lunch at Bo Kaap Kombuis. The views of Devil's Peak and Table Mountain are right there through the big windows. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was simply delicious and tasty. My only downer was that there was not enough of each sample on the starter platter for each... More

The Bo-Kaap Kombuis serves delicious Malay dishes. Nazli's passion for cooking shines through and her Bobotie is packed full of flavour. It is the best we have ever tasted. We ordered the tasting platters and everything on them was excellent. The rooti was out of this world. After our meal, Nazli and Yusuf invited us to join them for a... More
