We ate here about four times during our visit to Cape Town. It was in a great location, and the food was exceptional and excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly and service was quick each time. Also, the coffee was excellent.

Central lovely place with great food and good service. Can't fault it. Ordered a waffle with scrambled eggs, bacon and tomatoes. Friendly and attentive service, will definetely go back
Sited immediately adjacent to the Wheel at the Waterfront, this place offers a relaxed and friendly eating environment outside with freshly cooked, quality food to boot. Artisan breads are a speciality, prepared and baked on site and in full view of anticipating eyes ! The...homemade muesli together with yoghurt and fresh fruit is stand-out - absolutely delicious. Service generally is great. Just one lengthy delay but overall, engaging and efficient.More
Really tasty food, chilled rose. Sights and sounds of the V&A Waterfront on a Sunday afternoon. Service excellent. Perfect choice.
We are visiting from Australia and ate at Vovo Telo our first morning in Cape Town. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. Our breakfast hearty and delicious and honestly the best hot chocolate I’ve had. We returned a few times during our stay and...the management and staff were always lovely.More
I popped in between business meetings and was seated. I opened my laptop and starting attending to emails. The waitress appeared and I ordered a meal and a drink. I received my drink and meal and the manager Brandon appears and tells me I can’t...work on my laptop in my seating area. I protested and pointed out that I had been seated and my order taken with no one telling me about this laptop rule. He then proceeded to tell me to close my laptop or I will have to leave! I told him I will finish my meal and leave in due course to which he replied that he would call security!! A very absurd set of events and certainly the correct way to ensure customers never return! Spaghetti Bolognese was good btw! A very sad day for Cape Town hospitality and tourism!!More
Awful. We went today with our 1 year old daughter. It was cold and raining outside. We asked to sit inside. A staff member told us - we can’t eat inside as we can’t take babies up the stairs. I’ve never heard anything like it....We were quite shocked. And disgusted. The way the guy seemed so unsure of this was embarrassing - he then said they had an inspection today so def couldn’t take a baby up the stairs in case we slipped ???? Utter nonsense.More
I had an hour to kill before an appointment, so I stopped by for a quick coffee and lunch. I was on deadline so had my laptop with me to finish some things off. The waiter served me quickly and pleasantly. It had been about...20 minutes - I had finished my coffee and had drunk most of my water and was just awaiting my food when the front of house lady came and told me that I couldn't use my laptop. I thought she was joking but she said it was policy and that I must put my laptop away. Bearing in mind I had my laptop open the entire time I was there, they could have told me before I had even ordered, but chose not to. Given that I had work to do I immediately asked for the bill for the coffee and water. The manager came to try and explain and apologised for the way it was handled, mumbling something about people on laptops staying a long time, but I’m still none-the-wiser. Why would you ask someone who had already ordered food and drink to leave after 20 minutes? I wasn’t even using their wifi… As a remote worker I often work from coffee shops here and there, and always ensure I order food and drink while doing so. This is the first time I have been treated this way anywhere in the world. I believe that because I was on a table that had space for two people that they didn’t want a single person taking up space, even if I was paying for food. Utterly ridiculous, unwelcoming and greedy.More
Had breakfast here 2 days in a row. The service is great and the food is excellent. Good breakfast spot. Will definitely return when I visit cape town again.
We’ve been to VoVo a few times and it still provides a quality experience, service, atmosphere, with great food. A consistent quality experience and should be on anyones list for breakfast and lunch with friends and family.
We ate lunch here while visiting the V&A Waterfront. The food and service was very good and we had no complaints!
This was our quick coffee stop before a red bus tour. The mocha was delicious, perfectly sweetened. We also bought some French pastries and a warm baguette, which was pretty authentic. The wooden tables are lovely, and the location is quite perfect too.
During our recent visit to Cape Town, Vovo Telo was our favorite breakfast restaurant. We came back often (since we didn't sign up for the hotel breakfast package) and everything we tried was delicious. You can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine with your coffee....When we didn't have time for breakfast we took bakery and other items to-go and had a picnic on Table Mountain. Highly recommend!More
Breakfast and coffee was delicious, second time we visited and will definitely be back. Service was great.
Coffee is delicious, but croissants are not really good. It is difficult to find the right croissant...they are big but not crispy as it has to be.
