Unfortunately the venue was booked out for a function so we had to sit outside. Luckily not too cold so we had a good evening. There is a small selection of craft beer but a number were out of stock. The burgers are delicious.

Firemans Arms. A place well known to all Capetonian locals. An absolute gem to those from outside it borders. This historical watering hole is both a page out of an old style style English pub with the modern trappings of the best digital sports venue in Cape Town. They centre themselves on delivering quality through both their food and their... More

Thank you for the spectacular review, Niall! Fireman’s Arms is our home away from home and we tend to stay involved with staff duties and the pub’s daily operations. More

We had a very disappointing visit. We went to Firemans Arms to watch a rugby game and was told by the waiter before we sat down and ordered that indeed the rugby would be shown on the big screen with sound. It too was written up on a board. The football was on but we were told they would swap... More

Unfortunately, when different games are screened, one has to take the priority on the big screen. In this case, the UEFA European Championship took precedence over the Springbok A team’s performance. Although, the football was already playing, the rugby was screened on the smaller TV's when it began. We do apologise for the miscommunication and we hope that this incident... More

Don't go there for the food: minimum 100R for a pizza without much taste, same for the worst burger i have had in a long time for double the price in other places with proper burgers. Ambiance is great for sports event though and they have a marge selection of beers on draft.

My hubby, son and I popped in to our local pub for a quick bite - mainly for our son as we were not very hungry. The Mexican foccacia was not for the faint-hearted, hot and HOT! Their chilli poppers were ok, and their chips are always excellent. The surprise came when my husband ordered an apple pie. When it... More

My wife and I and a friend had dinner there and once again it was great. It is the oldest pub in the Cape and the atmosphere is great, especially if you are a sports fan. Their Guiness stew was on special for R95 and it is really, really tasty. They have a brilliant selection of beers on tap, although... More

We went there a few times after it was suggested to us. It has a great British pub ambiance. Pizzas are awesome ! They also have gluten free dough which is great. Service is very good and accommodating.
