As a local, this is one of my favourite night time hang outs, especially on a Friday night when they always have a live band from 10pm. Great vibe, good music. Certainly a must for when you visit my little town.e

Just what a village pub should be on a Saturday night; lots of people, music, dancing, great craft beers and local wines. Most of all lots of fun.

Typical pub in a small square behind the main street. Good variety of beers and wines (generous servings!). Indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to relax.

A little spot, just off the busy main road. Had a very nice courtyard area with outside tables. Restaurant/pub was nice and busy that all looked like locals. We had some wine before heading home to call it a night. Waiters was friendly and attentive. Thank you guys, will definitely be back to try some food.

We had excellent service, food was very well... More

This used to be the place to drink in Franschhoek however they seem to have lost there way and it's no longer a must visit place. I never thought I'd say this but even Takis seems to have moved with the times and modernised but the elephant seems to be in a time warp, no fresh ideas or beers or... More

Tucked away behind the main street there is a courtyard with the Elephant and Barrel, along with a couple of shops. A lively pub, with tasty, no nonsense meals at a good price.

Went here at 10.30pm when everything else in Franschhoek was closed! Good beers, nice atmosphere - popular with the younger crowd.
