I love this place! First - you walk up to the counter and select your delightful raw meal and they cook it on the grill fresh. We had an array of fish and 2 lobsters and prawn. I have never had such fresh seafood. Def the best lobster ive EVER had! We ate here 3 times in the one week... More

We had a good meal at Codfather but felt that it was overpriced compared to the fine dining experiences that we had at other restaurants in the Cape Town area.

Everyone says to go here and we are so glad that we listened. We sat at the bar and had some sushi as an appetizer and then sat down for dinner. We were able to pick exactly what fresh fish we wanted for dinner and it was so delicious. Huge portions and made perfectly. The shrimp were to die for!... More

We were a party of 8 that included well travelled foreign visitors, who on their last night in Cape Town wanted the BEST Seafood available. A reservation was made at The Codfather in Camps Bay. We arrived at 19h00 to an already patrcked restaurant, with an atmospheric vibe that was oh so cosmopolitan. We were promptly seated and the rest... More

Man, this is my kind of place. You pick out your seafood and they cook it right in front of you. We had the butterfish, langoustines, marlin, and wahoo. The butterfish just melted in our mouths and the veggies and rice that came with it was excellent. Langoustines were absolutely incredible. Wahoo was very good, but the marlin was quite... More

Youc an choose between classical "conveyor band sushi bar" and the classical restaurant. The waiter brings you to the fridge when you can choose the fish(es) you want to see on your plate. The presentation of the plate is a bit unusual, as fish, chips and veg are put together into a great plate. But quality is met. Service a... More

Seafood at its greatest you must try the Codfather , Service is really good and is worth your while to have a romantic dinner for a evening. Make sure you get a cab there and back as a few glasses of wine will make your evening even more enjoyable

I only like to eat Fried fish or fried shrimp. This restaurant grills all their seafood. They do not have a menu you and your waitress go up and look at all the food as she explains what all they have. You choose a little or as much as you want. You are charged by the weight. My husband was... More

This was a very good recommendation, a great selection of incredibly fresh seafood which you order by the weight and is brought freshly cooked to your table. Relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Oh, and great sushi as well!

The restaurant overlooks the Atlantic Ocean at Camps Bay, the service is amongst the best you will find in a 5 star Sea Food restaurant fine dining. Fresh food and great service. Whiles there is some parking closer to the restaurant if it's full it becomes a bit of a problem. It's also advisable to book as its becoming a... More
