All reviews pizza risotto buffalo mozzarella parma ham authentic italian restaurant arrogant attitude northern suburbs cape town fresh ingredients amazing food our waiter base italians vibe mare homemade tosca
Ambiance of the restaurant was great, nice and cosy with good wine. However the food was not on the same level. My wife’s pizza base was undercooked and she ended up only having one or two slices. The other dishes on the table was also...More
Lovely and warm place.
Our waitress was great and knew the menu by heart and gave excellent feedback.
The place was full so bookings might be advised.
Prices a little on the high side to me but food was ok
I read the reviews on this restaurant and was in two minds if I should make the effort and spend my money here. To be honest, It is over-priced and the service was poor and the pizzas are average. I won't return to this establishment...More

“Gelato and hot chocolate sauce” @ R65 = 3 small scoops of run-of-the-mill ice cream and a squirt of...More
Will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The waiter was argumentative and cocky. The Lasagne was burned on top. The manager did not even bother to show his face when concerns were raised. Vesuvios should go and learn something from ZIBALDONE REAL ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!!

Vesuvio was one of my favourite restaurants in the Northern Suburbs, but I am afraid standards are slipping. On our recent visit the pita bread was soggy and tasteless and the pizza merely OK. When I mentioned the pita bread to the waiter/manager I was...More
By far my favourite Italian restaurant (in Cape Town, of course).
Honestly, the experience is so great. The restaurant is run my a family of Italians and you definitely feel that in the vibe and buzz of the place.
The waiters are really friendly and...More
We arrived at the fully-booked restaurant (always a good sign!) and were quite disappointed with the table... right by the bar and serving pass. As it turned out, it was absolutely fine, not at all in an awkward position, and unlike a lot of restaurants,...More
