My husband and I celebrated our 36th anniversary here. My husband had the Wagyu Beef Steak, I had the Seabass Special, both were excellent. Our server Daniel was outstanding. We even received a complementary dessert, Tiramisu cheesecake, over the top 😍

af A day of driving & snacking, it was time for a relaxing meal. Without a reservation we went to Shugrue’s. Luckily we were early enough to get a table in a quiet spot with some view. Host & waitress were very friendly and helpful. My large, juicy ribeye steak was delicious, along with roasted fingerling potatoes & asparagus. My friend felt the scallops & sauce were a little too salty. I enjoyed the Justin Pinot Noir from CA central coast. Even though they were extremely busy and we wanted dessert & coffee, the host moved us to another table to accommodate a large family group in the area we had been seated in. This allowed for leisurely dessert & conversation.

After looking over the menu, we told the Hostess we would give Shugrue's a try. She said "you won't be disappointed"! She was right! Shugrue's sits right on the water and the view of London Bridge is outstanding. We were fortunate to be seated next to the window. The Asian Salmon w/Shrimp skewer over a bed of rice, was outstanding in presentation and flavor. You can't go wrong with this dish if you love seafood! The fish and chips were also tasty. Our server was delightful. She was friendly and offered to take pictures for us and the table next to us. We ordered the chocolate cake to go.....it was a chocolate lover's delight! This restaurant is a must do on your Lake Havasu City visit!

What a bad night at Grue"s. Took a friend from out of town to what I thought would be a memorable dinner and it was but in a bad way. Wife's food had to be sent back, prime rib only slightly warm and all her veggies were very undercooked, my friend had prime rib and I had an underseasoned Filet both edible but not hot (guys don't usually complain, they just eat what's in front of them) , my rice was just warm and by the time I was at the last third it was actually cold. So Shugrew's has lost it's place and Vita Dolche which has never let us down is the uncontested numero uno. Sorry Tim.

My husband and I had a guest from out of town and were really looking forward to having a great dinner. My dinner was horrible, when the waiter gave me my food, my prime rib was barely warm and my vegetables were raw, and cold. Worst meal ever. My husband had the filet, which he said was not seasoned, and also had barely warm food. Really a huge fail for Shugrues, and a major dissapointment.

Hate to be heavy handed but sad meal. Mondavi chard. bad bottle, know mondavi wines, skunked on this one. Taste before pouring?? Fish and chips undercooked fish, overcooked potatoes. So sad. Even bread and butter not tasty, no flavor. Salad drenched in dressing, too wet, not crispy. Could be a great place.

Had made a reservation for a special table at this restaurant over 3 weeks in advance, arrived on time were told customers would be leaving our table soon. Waited in bar area for over 45 minutes. Finally got to our table and placed our orders. We both ordered soup, which was served lukewarm (did have great flavor). For entrees I ordered the Sea Bass & my husband ordered the Swordfish, mine was undercooked, husband’s was great. This used to be our favorite restaurant for special occasions, unfortunately it missed the mark on this occasion. Not even a complementary drink or appetizer for the inconvenience.

The $16 french dip used a bitter, metallic roast beef that is inedible. Don't try and fool customers with junk like this. Paid my bill and walked out. Owner knows he is ripping customers off.

My wife and I enjoyed our wedding anniversary at Shugrues. We were in Lake Havasu for the weekend and had a reservation for 6:15 pm. on a Sunday evening. We arrived early to have a drink in the lounge. Everybody was very personable and accommodating. They gave us a table near the window were we had an excellent view of the lights and sights of London Bridge. I ordered a Texas Mule and my wife a glass of wine. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. We asked to be seated in the dining room for supper and again were given a table near the window for an excellent view. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I ordered Paella and my wife ordered the Garlic Crusted Halibut. I also ordered a half size Greek Salad. The salad was fresh and a generous portion. It was perhaps the best and most favorable salad I have had. The food was hot with a perfect presentation. Portions were generous and cooked to perfection. One of the best dining experiences I have had. Will return if in the area again.

We had dinner at Shugrue's and had a great view of the London Bridge. I thought it was a little pricey. Part of my meal was barely warm and wasn't as good as I was hoping. Others in our party were very satisfied with there's. I would return and try it again.

Perhaps I didn’t read the reviews as closely as I should have. This place is a tourist trap. Let me explain: happy hour is only at the bar. This was not made clear to us until we were comfortably seated. OK not such a bad thing. But a glaring attempt to deceive customers cannot go unnoticed. After I ordered an entrée and an appetizer I was asked by the waitress “soup or salad“ oh, but I am not as easily tricked as my table mates were, after I asked “is that included with my meal” and was told no, my table mates promptly canceled there add-on soup orders. This deceptive upsell is absolutely unacceptable. How many times does this waitress get away with this because guests do not question their check or are too embarrassed to speak to a manager. I am letting you know in case this one waitress pulls this on you. I am happy to report that not all staff were doing this. The complementary sourdough bread and herb infused butter were a nice way to start the meal, and our waters were constantly being refilled. My stuffed salmon, was delicious accompanied by a side of uninspired jasmine rice, no vegetables included, for $38 a few sprigs of broccoli would be nice. As others have mentioned, the paella was uninspired and covered in cheese; What chef covers perfectly good fish in cheese? There is an extensive wine list but buyer beware : prepare for a 4 ounce pour per glass at a cost of 8-10 dollars. Do I now have to ask my server how many ounces in a pour? Maybe order by the bottle?

My husband and I have been here 2 times for dinner and had a marvelous experience as we dined in the restaurant and the patio area. The view was beautiful overlooking the beautiful lake and the historical London bridge. The food was prepared just the way we liked it‼️We have recommended this Restaurant many times.

Our meals at Shugrue's were very good, seafood and steak. Our waitress, not so much. She did not return to refill drinks, or to fix an error with the steak dinner, and she did not know the entire dessert menu. After dinner, as we were outside enjoying the night view of the London Bridge, we saw her and another staff member making out in the doorway of another business near the entrance to the restaurant.

Had a memorable and delicious dinner with family and friends after a long day on the water. The menu was vast and the service was very good. Drinks well good sized and priced well. All of us had a great meal and nobody left hungry or displeased. our server was funny, personable, and had thorough knowledge of the menu.

We have been enjoying Shugrue's since 2015. We have visited twice lately. Once in March with a birthday party of 15 and again in April for our anniversary dinner. Unfortunately, the service and food were horrible for the birthday party, but we decided to give it another shot for our anniversary. Big mistake! The food was not very good at all ( the halibut and bass were ordered) and actually made us sick. We are so disappointed and will not return. It used to be one of our favorite places to dine!
