The food was average and a bit expensive. Many white wines on the list were not available but this was due to a large event earlier in the day. The restaurant is warm and inviting inside and the service is good. There are private dinning rooms for small groups that offer good privacy.

Wonderful ambience especially in winter with the 2 cozy fire places. Food excellent. Staff friendly and very helpful and efficient. Food was incredible - especially the blue cheese steak! Try and include a visit to the spa too.

We attended a Beyerskloof wine pairing supper at Hemmingways which was memorable. The venue was close to fine dining standard and the three courses absolutely a culinary explosion. Truter Beyers was in attendance and introduced the wines and the Chef introduced the food and how each dish was prepped, made and plated. It was a gourmet experience of note and... More

The waiters are friendly and extremely helpful. The location is excellent for a business lunch. I was not that impressed with the quality of the food. I had the calamari and spicy chicken. I found the calamari tubes not to my liking but the chicken was cooked tenderly. I thought the spice on the chicken was a bit too much... More

Hemingways is a very nice resaurant, nice atmosphere. Drinks area at the bar is a bit small. The food was very good, not the best I've had. But the time to serve was slow. But when served it was done with style and professionalism. I'll go back again.

A wet, cold and rainy night turned into a delight at Hemingways. We were warmly welcomed despite the inclement weather and the restaurant which was quite quiet probably given the weather. The excellent 2013 Saronsberg Shiraz helped us to warm up and the novel Amuse Bouche was a great lead in to a delightful potato and leek soup and a... More

This is my all-time favourite restaurant. Beautiful, intimate, and wonderfully nostalgic with French music in the background and portraits and books of Hemingway everywhere you look. The food is SUPERB. The service - unparalleled.

I always order the beef wrap, it is light, tasty and always well presented. The consistent staff members remember regulars and are always serving with a happy face. Meetings at this restaurant always drag longer than planned because of the pleasant atmosphere.

Description
Hemingway's Restaurant and Wine Cellar is located at Leriba Hotel and Spa, the award winning 4 and 5 Star Hotel in Centurion. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with understated minimalistic elegance and the ambience reminds of a classic French cafe with splashes of contemporary Provencal style. The indigenous gardens create a perfect backdrop for the sun soaked terrace. The menu revolves around the seasons and is fresh, tasteful and honest. The carefully selected wine collection represents the gems of South African wines to compliment the sumptuous culinary journey with excellent paring suggestions. A feast to awaken your senses.
