If you're in Durban with young kids, go to Blue Zoo. At least twice! The food is quite nice; they have a big menu and provide a consistent result. E.g. my Sunday roast lamb was simple and delicious. My wife's pasta was really nice. My daughter had the grilled hake, which was actually exceptional. Expect good straightforward food, not gourmet.... More

A 10 am birthday party for 12 kids and their parents turned out to be much bigger than we had catered for (around45 people) and the weather was damp and cold. They kept refreshments coming steadily for 3 hours as we filled the whole patio area with happy, noisy people. Kids were well catered for with sugar-free platters, fruit and... More

I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the quality of food at this old" hangout in Durban. It was incredibly good and the gorgeous setting made it a remarkably unexpected brunch. Great job

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and my son really enjoyed the venue. Will definitely come back again. Light food platters provided which were not bad at all.

Been going here since 1964. Really. Still a great place to meet fri new and have a nice meal. Not haute cuisine but lamb shank and curry to die for and I defy you to eat two scones.

We usually have lunch here on Saturdays but have also had business dinners here in the evenings. The setting is very good and park like and ample safe space for the children to run around in. The meals are varied and value for money however I would not class this as an upmarket venue as the restaurant is dated and... More

Visiting Mitchells Park, we thought it would be a good idea to try this restaurant, i had the chicken and prawn curry which was too spicy and over priced the salad was minimal for the portion of the dish, my husband had the lamb shank which was too sweet and I had the vanilla milkshake which tasted like raw egg... A good central business meeting place in a lovely suroundings . Service was friendly and efficient.Normally plenty of parking but on busy days parking pretty full. Cappuccinos were good. The restaurant was busy with a few Christmas functions taking place. Well worth another visit.
