We loved this place ❤ so much we ate here twice. The first night we had burgers and fries. We were so full we couldn't have shakes so we came back for lunch the next day. The shakes and floats were fantastic and I equally...enjoyed their Cobb salad. They serious have the best fries and onion rings too. Highly recommend. The ambiance, fun and homemade root beer floats can't be beat.More

We stopped here for breakfast while out on our 220 Slingshot drive down rt 66. So glad we stopped. What a cute little place! The food was plentiful and delicious! Our waitress was wonderful! The service she provided was friendly and extremely efficient! We'll definitely...stop again if we're back in the area!More

We arrived for breakfast and the menu had plenty to choose from. This is not a large space and there were two waiting on tables. Our server wore a mask, the other had a mask under her nose which is pretty much useless. The food...arrived hot and in a reasonable time, not really fast. If you stop, go outside and look at the front of the building. There is an interesting Elvis sharing his thoughts on 2020, lol.More

Ok, we were there for breakfast, but isn’t a root beer float the breakfast of champions? Breakfast was good. Lots of Southwest specialties, but you really need to have a root beer float here!

We ordered the Mexican Omelet and the Country Biscuit Skillet. Our server got our food & drink orders right, but didn't check back with us after dropping off the food. By the time we had almost finished eating, I had to flag down another server...to ask for our server. I politely let our server know the issues with our meal. We were not aware that the toast would come buttered, with what seemed like margarine. It tasted really bad, so we didn't eat it. We would have liked new plain toast, had the server checked back within the first few minutes of our meal. (Also, it came on my plate, even though it was for my partner's meal, and I really dislike the smell of rye, so that was off-putting at the start.) Then, for the omelet my partner said: "My dish didn't taste good, but I ate it because I was hungry. Same with the skillet dish, it didn't taste right. I kept dousing my dish in hot sauce to make it more palatable. The eggs were overcooked and the filling was in one spot instead of spread-out throughout the omelette." The seasoned cast iron skillet my dish was served in smelled like rancid oil. It is really off-putting. If you have ever smelled oil that's gone bad, you know. I don't know if I got a bad skillet, or if they are all like that. I brought back leftovers of the skillet dish to our housemates. They also said it did not taste good. On a positive note, I liked that the hash browns were crispy on the outside. Overall, breakfast at Mr.D'z was disappointing, as was the manager response (or lack thereof)! The server offered new bread, but since we were done with our meal, we weren't interested. He said the managers wouldn't give any discount. It was so disappointing to have so many things wrong with the experience and not be taken care of. Especially as we were starting to become regulars. I made one more effort to kindly ask if they could give us a cup of chili to-go, as our friend had just recommended it and I was interested in trying it. Our server reported back that the best they could offer was their root beer to-go.... Side note, the root beer is tasty, but I really felt more should have been done to remedy the situation. I'm surprised a manager didn't comer over to check in with us directly about our experience. We have had dinner (see photos) & dessert at Mr.D'z before, and those times were pretty good (except for the pizza), but now I'm not sure about eating there again since customer satisfaction does not seem to be a priority. PS- Several staff do not wear masks, or wear them correctly (over both the mouth & nose), so if you are concerned about coronavirus, that's something to be aware of.More

Stopped in for breakfast was pretty good. All of the staff were wearing their masks, which was greatly appreciated. Then hubby decided he wanted to go back the next day for lunch and a milkshake. Disappointed in the milkshake and the sandwich was soso. However,...this time not all of the staff were wearing their masks but mostly they were deep cleaning the booth behind my hubby and the one next to me. Not sure we'll go back.More

Cute, clean place to eat. I had a cob salad- very large and tasty. Sister had a chef salad- she said it was very good. We both ordered chocolate malts- they were thin and watery- more like drinking chocolate milk.

Very nice little place with a great vibe. The food is nice, great coffee, delicious desserts. If you’re passing around Kingman, this place is a gem.

Route 66 style diner. Shopped in Kingman for our first stop along route 40/Route 66 historic drive. Kingman is known for turquoise jewelry and Mr. D’s diner was recommended by a shop owner. The food was perfect for what we wanted and they serve breakfast...all day. They serve these wild hotdogs and hamburgers but we opted for breakfast which hit the spot for us.More

I LOVE this place! Stepping into Mr. D'z was like stepping back into another time. I've heard a lot about 50's style diners. This place was the most authentic I've seen yet. We enjoyed breakfast for dinner, with the ham & cheese omelett and the...blueberry pancakes. Both were fresh and tasty. The hash browns came-out extra crispy (just like I asked) Sadly, we skipped the milkshakes and dessert because the pancakes were sweet enough. If we had more time in Kingman, we would have returned for just the sweets alone. This place is tastefully decorated with nostalgia from the 50's and beyond. Just exploring the framed photos on the wall, the life-size cut-out and statues of legends and the classic counter is a blast. The classic jukebox belts out all kinds of oldies aas well. What a treat! I can't wait to return to Mr. D'z again.More

I cannot say, but would suggest contacting Route 66 Diner directly. Good Luck
