This restaurant was shaded and had cold drinks so we did appreciate it. The buffet food was varied but nothing outstanding. Dessert was good as there was Malvasia Pudding and a variety of cold icecream.

I tried almost 10 options of dished in this buffet restaurant and had an amazing time prooving the many flavours and textures of african beans and roots. It is a must go in Soweto.

There were performers and a huge crowd of guests but it was worth it at least once for the food. Really excellent buffet with a good example of South African cuisine: the pumpkin pap and chakalaka were excellent! Bit on the pricey side at ~600ZAR...More

This place is a little bit western and a lot African. The food and service were good and we felt in the middle of the community. We had a variety of buffet items.

We took some Polish tourist to lunch at Sakhumzi. The food was good. As it is a buffet restaurant, I will advise that the dishes names be presented in more than one language, maybe add German and French. Would not recommend it for the food...More

The food was great, especially the malva pudding and the ice cream. They had the traditional dishes which were all very tasty. Definitely a tourist destination, I think all the tour guides take their groups there. I'd recommend it if you're in Soweto and want...More

Soweto, baby, that's what I'm talking about! On my final day of a three week trip to South Africa, I had my driver take me back to Soweto, which I had visited earlier in the trip, so I could do some final shopping at the...More
