Elegant, intimate atmosphere for a belated birthday celebration. Excellent service, courteous, calm waiters, willing to please. Exceptional seabass, fabulous desserts -especially the cheesecake. Then the unexpected birthday chocolate cake, all wrapped in cellophane (for the midnight snack later on ! ) appeared on a volcano of solid carbon dioxide. Chemical fantasy! . . The evening did not go without some... More

Went here for dinner on a recent visit to Johannesburg. The restaurant is upstairs from Mandela Square and is part of the Michelangelo Hotel. It's obvious form the start that this is a fine dining restaurant. The decor is excellent, spacious tables and staff professional and attentive. The menu is varied and we had pastas and meat dishes, along with... More

As we were staying in the hotel we had a family sunday lunch here. The menu had a good selection but was a bit misleading with the description of the lamb. It turned to be a lamb sausage.

This restaurant has a great menu and the food is good and well prepared and presented but we found it expensive in comparison with other restaurants in it's class.Perhaps, because of it's location, it could be priced for non South Africans with stronger currencies. The restaurant was empty and we were one of two tables that were taken. The service... More

The service was awesome, the staff (especially Samu, Eric, Bheki and the lady Chef) were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. The food was exceptional, very delicious and fresh. We felt very welcome, and enjoyed every minute.

We had a breakfast meeting here, staff were great and very friendly, great choice on the buffet and even nicer choices on the Cooked Breakfast menu. The Egg's Benedict is their signature dish and did not disappoint

They have a nice buffet. The ala carte menu is also good with some traditional English breakfast. The waiters are really efficient and vert friendly. The buffet eggs were cold but everything else was great. Prices are fair. The room is very comfortable.

Attended the high tea and found it all to be quite average. Savouries were not great. Sweets and cakes a bit better. Something missing from the whole experience. Pity!
