My wife I and I celebrated our 22 wedding anniversary and I decide to surprise her with an evening out at a fancy French Restaurant. Low and behold I found this place just 10km from where we stay. We arrived and immediately the staff attended to us. I decided to try the degustation menu with wine paring. There is simply... More

Situated in the leafy suburb of Waterkloof, we've booked a table on the narrow stoep in filtered sun - excellent choice on a beautiful early spring day. Timeless interior, peaceful ambience, prompt service by well trained staff, small menu catering for most tastes, even vegetarian. The four of us chose salmon, lamb and fillet and of course vegetarian...all excellent! Stay... More

I spoilt my wife to a birthday dinner at Brasserie de Paris recently, and if I may say, if dinner could be a friend, Brasserie de Paris would be my best friend! Ok, ok, corny, I know. But in all honest, this place, with Black Bamboo, are the two best restaurants we've enjoyed eating at in restaurant of late. The... More

We visited during the week so the restaurant was fairly quiet, but the service was absolutely top notch and the food brilliant. While I didn't see the wine list (our host ordered the wine) the wine was fantastic too. We did a la carte but I am keen to go back and try the 5 course degustation menu.

We were VERY impressed by the service, ambiance and quality of the food! The menu is quite French traditional, which is of course exactly what it is supposed to be! From the fresh french baguette and butter, to the ‘bite of goodness’ amuse bouche. The Onion Soup starter was absolutely delicious and very moreish, and I purposefully left the cheese-drapped... What a delightful combination of most successful menu policy, superb service and wine list. Top quality South African ingredients are revisited with pertinently creative French touch. Nothing extravagant or overdone. Just right and delicious. Service is thoughtful without becoming invasive. Advise just spot-on. Truly loved it. It was my second time. Planning third one already.

My daughter took me to this restaurant for a treat since I've been wanting to eat something different for a change and what a treat it has been! The service was discreet and excellent. We decided on the set 5 course menu and enjoyed each beautiful plated course. Every portion was small (as it should be) but very delicious. One... More

The food is very well presented,Awesome Decor,Wonderful ambiance, waiter very good, but never go if you are very hungry. The portions are portions, definitely not for a healthy appetite. A different place, really on the expensive side. Need to find out the balance between what's suppose to be on a plate versus what the Chef want you to taste and what is the best... More

Brasserie de Paris is a bright beacon in a very dull Pretoria restaurant landscape.5 star service, venue, ambiance, food(ala cart or 5 course food and wine pairing).I would place Brasserie on par with EAT OUT top twenty South Africa list(we have dined at 16).

Excellent food in a beautiful and unique historic setting. A fusion between "cuisine moderne" and a traditional french menu. Great local wines. The only negative was our waiter service was somewhat slow. Nonetheless, a great meal and this restaurant is well worth the visit.
