This little gem of a restaurant forms part of a "green" establishment (if I can call it that). It is a plot of land in the middle of a very busy neighbourhood/business area. You would never expect to find such a place in mid-town. The atmosphere is a bucket list item. The food is outstanding and the staff... SO friendly.... More

The food was excellent. The chicken livers were fantastic The pasta was a bit overly cooked but good The service was extremely bad, you had to call the waiters to be served I will still go back, because the food was good My first time experiance Thank you

Had great coffee and cake with friends. Staff friendly and dealt with a complaint with charm and kept my friend happy. Love the ambience and it is a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I've eaten at Karoo Cafe a couple of times and I've always had a pleasant experience. The food is great and the atmosphere is interesting. The service could definitely be better - I've always had slow service here.

We went to Karoo Café for brunch on Saturday morning. It is a bit expensive but the food was fantastic as usual but unfortunately the service did not match. We struggled to find a waiter's attention and had to ask more than once for the same thing. This is really sad since the food was really very good. My hubby... More

Was quite dissapointed today. We waited for more than an hour for our breakfast during which the waiter did not come to us once to ask if we would like more drinks. When our food arrived it was cold and sad to say not up to the standard that the Café is known for. I also felt a bit cheated... More

Once again we enjoyed good meals at this quirky restaurant. One problem: one of our party ordered well-done T-bone steak, it was rare. The second time round it was OK. Ambience is good, service reasonable.

Great food and really friendly staff. Chilled atmosphere that never tries to hurry you along. Food is top notch, have been a couple times and never disappointed

We didn't get to eating but the restaurant was very dusty and untidy. The worst part was they burn incense all over the place, even on tables - according to the waitress "to keep the flies out"

This is a very different/alternative restaurant but the food is fabulous and the atmosphere is something new.
