The service was okay but can be improved with making you feel welcome and that they enjoy working there... The bread prior to dinner was not baked in the past 3 days but the eisbeins were huge and... We had Valentines lunch and what a great experience. The table had Valentines memorabilia such as napkins, sweets etc. I had pork shoulder and possible one of the best dishes I had in my life. The portion is excellent and the crackling wowwwweee. My partner had Pork Cordon Blue which was just as amazing. The Black Forest desert was to... More

I had been looking forward to going to this restaurant since reading all the reviews about the crispy, succulent eisbein, So when I ordered and confirmed the crispy version I was totally shocked to be presented with this hunk of meat with a slimy skin. I hate sending food back as this leaves ones partner eating alone but I had... More

I love a restaurant that has proper cutlery and proper serviettes and table cloths. However this type of place does tend to stretch the budget of us mere mortals. Eisbein has this. At a reasonable price too. Not cheap. But great value. Service is outstanding from well trained long serving staff. I had not bee there for just over a... More

I went for dinner with a colleague while up in Pretoria on business. Firstly, we were welcomed in German. There was a small selection of German beers on tap. We were given bread with Schmalz, impressive. I ordered the Eisbein and was asked how I wanted it- only Germans know that you shou actually eat it not grilled. However, I... More
