We had gone for my sister in law's birthday earlier in the month. It a beautiful setting, slightly old world. Large an spacious with a well stocked variety of wines. The service was good an the food cooked to perfection. The vegetables differ from the usual pumpkin an creamed spinach. Went there last night an not disappointed ☺it looks like... More

Was there for lunch with a large group. Menu uis basically still the same after years but the quality and standard is good. Nice atmosphere and great for Lunch and dinner. Good selection and some items a bit pricy but still good value. Will recommend

The restaurant leaves one with a feeling of privacy and Cape friendliness as well as Traditional Cape interiors. The food is done to perfection and service of the highest standard. Their wines master is well versed and their wine cellar rates with the best. There is safe parking underneath the restaurant.

I can't find fault with anything at Cynthia's! Everything is well thought out. From safe parking, a warm welcome, friendly and helpful waiters and AMAZING FOOD prepared by most charismatic chef Adam. The bar/lounge area is a wonderful added extra to a beautifully decorated spacious restaurant. We will definitely be back again! Thank you to everyone who effortlessly added to... More

There were about 15 of us for dinner and Cynthia's handled it spectacularly, even when half the group arrived 30 minutes late. The specials were fantastic and the wine selection excellent. The only reason I'm not rating them 5 stars is a couple people's filets were over cooked almost to well done.

Definitely more than just the normal steakhouse. The décor gives an atmosphere and sophistication to the whole dining experience. Great menu and impressive wine selection gave us options to try something new. And then of course the food itself. Attention is given to the presentation which is just the start of what is to come…undeniably delicious, flavourful meals. Every dish... More

To me, Cynthia's represents old style dining. This means that the restaurant has been offering great meals at just above great prices since the early 2000s. Big decor, big wine list, big heart. Great service en good food - much applaud. Two small things - It is unsuitably cold in winter and those WC's can do with a serious modernization.

This was one of the best known and enjoyed restaurant in Pretoria. It went through a low period. I have been there thrice in the recent months and they are definitely "coming back". The restaurant and it's interior is a little tired and all is unchanged for many years. And should probably score a 4/5 for that reason, but a... More
