I was on business trip and some one told me about this place. I reached this place in evening and because of ramazan it was full in evening. I waited for almost for 45 minutes outside. I tried some snacks made of chicken which was really nice. The atmosphere was really nice. Even the Fordsburg area is very good.

A family friend recently invited a group of 25 to eat at here. I can honestly say the food was just great. We ordered these large mixed platters to the table. There was something for everyone from Portuguese grilled chicken, prawns in their shells to beef rib where the ribs were just so tender meat was literally coming away with... More

We were a large party (15) so had pre-booked. When we arrived our tabel had already been reserved and set, which was a plus. We got there early, but quite soon enough, the place began to fill. We would strongly advise others to pre-book to avoid waiting. Despite only having one waiter assigned to such a large party (management, please... More

The food is really good as is the service. Surpirsingly for a fish place the Peri Peri Chicken is awesome! Parking is a challenge on weekends as Foodsburg as we call it is always packed. A really good restaurant!

I regularly eat at Adega Fordsburg whenever I'm in Johannesburg. It's a must stop for a delicious Halaal Meal. Wherther it's a fillet steak or prawns or chicken you craving for, the food quality is consistently delicious and great service. Be sure to come early or make a reservation over a weekend as this is a popular restaurant and finding... More

The chicken is my favorite. The prawns are also about the best in town. This branch is the best of the Halaal branches in the country without a doubt. Love the sauces.

Visited here last night with some friends. As we were running late, we skipped the starters having just some Greek salad and then ordered main course. As my experiences of ordering fish here lately were a bit disappointing we ordered the chicken, a platter of prawns and some steak. The chicken and prawns were superb, exactly what was expected of... Tight seating and being served in drips and drabs made the outing disappointing! Waiters don't have space to walk and you keep being pushed around. Queen prawns were good. Steak didn't look to good. Kids pasta arrived late. Tables are too congested to accommodate food ordered, for comfortable eating.
