The visit to the restaurant was part of our tour of South Africa. It's inside a large campus of Emperor palace in Kempton park near Airport. The overall ambience of place , including its proximity to different restaurants, shops , casino and a beautiful artificial roof in the campus is a plus point. The food including different Indian breads and... More

One of the typical Indian restaurants that tend to modify to local / international tastes and somehow lose their soul . Has the advantage of the ambience of The Emperors Palace and is quite popular going by the number of tables that were taken . The Prawn tikka masala had a nice gravy and a fair helping of prawns ,... This is an average restaurant. The food was very oily and was not very tasty. The service was average. Advantage is accessibility within the casino complex.

We decided to order to take away. The waiter was really helpful and even offered glasses of water while we waited for the food to be prepared. Each dish was really tasty and the meat to sauce ratio was in favour of the meat which is great! I will be back to try some more dishes.

I normally avoid these kind of places, all you can eat buffet, generally uninspiring unauthentic cuisine. But I was pleasantly surprised, once you have bypassed the menu (when you realize they don't actually serve any of the dishes on it) The food is all laid out bubbling away in pots along with pickles, breads and rice. Just help yourself and......repeat... More

What a disappointment! All the dishes were mild, not what ud expect from an indian restaurant The fish was dry, butter chicken was okay and the briyani and veg dishes tasteless The lamb curry was a joke - tough meat with loads of fat and bone- a stew not a curry! the rice pudding was edible! No don't bother this... More

This was the best and the spiciest Indian food we could get in South Africa. It was finger licking good.
