I had a wonderful afternoon/evening with friends at the very popular Beeryard. The waitress was top class and the food especially the pizza was scrumptious. Great vibe.

Okfrom the outside I was a bit dubious but don't be. We found this place purely by chance and boy were we glad we did. Great selection of draught beers, food was excellent, staff were great and to my surprise an outdoor seating area out...the back with live music playing. There's even a small pool. Prices were great, would definitely visit again. You be daft not to visit.More

I had tried two different beers which were both excellent.Nice location .We sat inside as it was a bit cool outside but there is a large garden at the rear with a pool in it.The Guy who served me on both occasions ( wore glasses)...was very friendly and helpful.Nice location .We went on a Wednesday lunchtime so it was not too busy.Very impressed.More

Visited after an enthrlalling visit to the Nelson Mandela Art Gallery . Also passed the excellent Horse Monument on the way on a rainy day . What better way to spend it than drinking pints execellent local Red Ale . Great staff too. And what...nice local clientelleMore

Cigarette smoke, ruined a fantastic meal. I can’t believe you allow people to smoke where food is being consumed!!!

The place is very close to the guest house we spent two nights in, so we basically discovered the Beer Yard by chance. And we feel lucky we had! The place has a very great atmosphere as you walk in, the yard outside is very...pretty and food is amazing! We tried both the healthy salad as well as the burger and I must say we were really happy with it. And, of course, the beer was also great! I definitely recommend the place and look forward to go there again in future!More

The naming conventions behind the beers, very interesting i say. Next time would love to do more than beer there.

What is happening at Beeryard? We have been going there for years and always have great service and Great pizza but since Gerhard stopped working the evening shift things have deteriorated big time. Gerhard was so on the ball- when he saw us arrive ,...he would just quickly check if we wanted our ' usual', and go off to place our order. Pizza would be done to perfection and served on hot plates as requested. Since he changed shifts , our visits haven't been the same and our last pizza (about 3 weeks ago) was TERRIBLE. As usual we asked for crisp pizza on hot plates.........sadly we received pizza that was already cold on a BOARD....surely when there are only 2 people at the table the waitress can get it correct. The base was undercooked, cold and cheese congealed. My husband and I were both very hungry and looking forward to a good pizza. After eating half of mine I gave up. We called the manageress who approached our table and said she knew exactly what the problem was when she heard we called for her- toooooo late. She should have checked the orders coming out of the kitchen. The restaurant was very quiet. Offering a free meal doesn't count. That's not what we went there for. I have eaten hundreds of pizza all over the world but this was the worst. Sadly I don't think we will be back.More
