The Mile High Grill and Inn sits atop the Jerome hill on Main Street in the old Clinkscale Mercantile building, built in 1899. Opening in 2004, we have made many renovations while trying to keep the old focal points and uniqueness of the original architecture. We aren't hard to find with our beautiful red building and black and white awnings! Feel free to grab some lavender from our herb garden located in the front window box!The Mile High Inn is located above the Grill and accessible through a separate entrance, though all check-ins are done at the Grill. Here you will step back in time with the Victorian styled Inn with high ceilings, original oil paintings and most importantly, the cozy, comfortable beds. It is a great spot to have a romantic getaway. Oh, and if you feel (but can't see) a little something rubbing against your ankles, don't fear! It's only Skipp, the ghost kitty.

Dirty Verde Birdie

We stopped in today for lunch. Service friendly and timely. Sandwich was super as was the onion rings. And local beers really good. We'll be back.

A nice place to stop by for breakfast . It has a historic feel to it and not to bad a view of the verde valley . Reasonably priced and decent service.

We ate breakfast here and I must say it was one of the best that I've had in a long time. Everyone had something different and we all loved what we ordered. Good service.

We were pleasantly surprised and happy with the quality of breakfast In a town of 450 or so this great! We each had an omelet and their granola. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will go back tomorrow. The staff was great as well!

The wife and I have been there often. This time we went over night for the bed and breakfast. It was great. The food was first rate, the room wonderful, and the service could not have better!

When seeking out lunch in a town with a population of about 450, you naturally lower your expectations, right? Not here! It was a cold day, so everyone in our group ordered the ham& bean soup or the shredded pork stew. We added the skillet cornbread, too. Wow! Everything was delicious! We were warned that the ham/bean soup had a... More

Our group of ten was able to sit together & visit with each other, because of the atmosphere. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal! The portions were large enough that some of our group split their order and were still full.

Cool little town with a cool little restaurant. I very seldom give an excellent rating but this time I did. We stopped in on the recommendation of a locale. Glad we did. The Bartender/server was full of conversation plus he makes a mean Margarita. My wife had the Ruben and she said it was the best Ruben she had ever... More
