Great decor and great food. Everyone had somrthing different and no one was disappointed. Wish we had room for dessert. Margaritas were huge and very good too.

Go to a haunted town it will be fun they said. Never expected this little gem! And with Hawaiian coffee to boot! You will adore this place and the great menu.

Though the décor is definitely "Day of the Dead" inspired it feels more like a Mardi Gras Parade, fresh and bright! The plates are presented with simple and creative touches of red, green and white garnishes. Once the bar tender / waiter opened up, we had a nice conversation! Food was tasty and authentic so will plan to return next... More

While ending our week in Flagstaff and driving to Phoenix to fly home to Florida the next day, we headed to Jerome to check it out. It was recommended by several people to go see the old ghost town that was once a booming copper mine. A rainy day made walking around a little difficult, but we drove around looking... More

We decided to try this place out and we went in and we were greeted by Lisa who was the only hostess who was working that day. She had a positive attitude. We ordered Ocean Blue and Vallarta Margaritas. They were delicious. We also ordered Pineapple Pork Tacos and Chicken and Steak Fajitas and both enjoyed the food. I liked... More

We didn't plan to go to this restaurant, but since the other one was closed for a private party we went here. They only had one person working and he wasn't very friendly. We ordered our drinks and decided to share a meal since the service seemed to be lacking at this place. The food was very good though and... More

Who would have thought we would have found such great Mexican food by total accident. We decided to stop off at the Gold King Mine & Ghost Town at the top of the hill and were hugely disappointed they were closed. BUT instead we found this gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and the funky decor was oh... More

Jerome is a really fun place to visit: interesting historical museum, quirky and rewarding artshops, great views, AND just the best beer and Mexican food at Vaqueros. Nachos my very favorite in AZ. I've taken home some "can't resist" artwork from there as well!

Exceptional guacamole. We shared the Burro Relleno. Plenty of food for us! Fast friendly service. The decor is worth the stop! Dia de los Muertos chairs. Colorful and inviting.

Thank Marge P

Take a break from your average Mexican restaurant and come find out what is new and exciting at Vaqueros Grill & Cantina! Under new ownership, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina has taken a different direction by serving quality Mexican 'soul' food with a breathtaking view of the Verde Valley in Jerome, Arizona - a historic copper mining town, once known as "The Wickedest Town in the West." Located on Main St. in the first Safeway building in Arizona, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina invites you to savor the flavor of our house specialty - Navajo Tacos, a creation of Fry Bread smothered with refried beans or black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and choice of chicken, shredded beef, pork or veggie style served with cilantro rice, guacamole and chipotle sour cream. Suspended above the dining room is a hand forged agave chandelier, lined by a row of hand-blown glass lanterns hung along a set of old fashioned pull out windows. Mexican folk art, Milagro crosses and decorative silver tin ceiling panels surround this festive, locally owned, family friendly, and rustic style restaurant.
