Exceptional guacamole. We shared the Burro Relleno. Plenty of food for us! Fast friendly service. The decor is worth the stop! Dia de los Muertos chairs. Colorful and inviting.

We walked in here for a drink prior to a show, the gentlemen working was such a cool dude. Mixed up a few drinks pretty quick and had the best conversation to go with it.

On a recent visit to Sedona, my husband and I drove to Jerome - a neat little town with lots of great shops - and a highlight of that trip was lunch at Vaqueros. The food was amazing - inventive and well spiced - and the decor of the restaurant is a feast for the eyes. We topped off our... More

The restaurant is colorfully decorated. It looked like the dia de Los muertos. Very fitting for the town theme. The service and food were outstanding. It seems like a family owned and run business. The pork fajitas we excellent. We shared an order and enjoyed a Bohemia beer as well as a margarita.

It had so much flavor it was superb. My husband and cousins had Taquitos and Flautas. Again very tasty. We had so much food, we had a taste of... More

We had the chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas. They were awesome! We also had the wings which had a lovely sauce accompanied with pico de gallo, carrots and celery. Everything was beautiful as well. Service was good. Food was pretty quick. Had a full bar. Would recommend.

Can't ever go wrong with a nice Margarita and some chips and salsa. When we arrived, the place was not busy at all. Seated immediately and drinks were served quickly. No problems with the staff. This is a place we would come to again.

Stopped here close to Halloween. The food was very authentic Mexican and very good! Great presentation also. Guacamole is really good (although I could do without the corn in it). Such a great atmosphere inside the restaurant. It's a very bright, colorful "day of the dead" style that you won't soon forget! Loved it and we will be back! Very... More

Take a break from your average Mexican restaurant and come find out what is new and exciting at Vaqueros Grill & Cantina! Under new ownership, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina has taken a different direction by serving quality Mexican 'soul' food with a breathtaking view of the Verde Valley in Jerome, Arizona - a historic copper mining town, once known as "The Wickedest Town in the West." Located on Main St. in the first Safeway building in Arizona, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina invites you to savor the flavor of our house specialty - Navajo Tacos, a creation of Fry Bread smothered with refried beans or black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and choice of chicken, shredded beef, pork or veggie style served with cilantro rice, guacamole and chipotle sour cream. Suspended above the dining room is a hand forged agave chandelier, lined by a row of hand-blown glass lanterns hung along a set of old fashioned pull out windows. Mexican folk art, Milagro crosses and decorative silver tin ceiling panels surround this festive, locally owned, family friendly, and rustic style restaurant.
