First impressions, WOW! The furnishings in this place are amazing, fabulous Mexican decor. The service was prompt and the waiter had drinks on the table within minutes. We were just in need of a drink and snack as it was lunch time. We ordered the nachos with shredded chicken from the starters ( they do shredded beef if you prefer).... More

We found this little gem of a Mexican restaraunt today while visiting Jerome, its tucked way towards the end of Main Street on the way out of town. "Go and Eat There" food was fantastic and its a really colourful quirky restaurant all painted up in a Mexican Day of the Dead theme with great service and price. Brilliant A... More

The restaurant is very colorful and pretty. All of the tables and chairs have a festive Day of the Dead motif. The food is excellent. My husband and I shared an order of chips, guacamole and two salsas. Very fresh and tasty guacamole and the two salsas were flavorful. We were happy to find that they both had some heat.... More

I was beyond impressed by the food in this restaurant. My husband wanted to eat here and I reluctantly agreed but was amazed. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious and I absolutely loved the ambience. I ordered the chile rellenos and it had such great flavor and the perfect portion size while my husband ordered the carne asada which... More

I have the hardest time finding an excellent veggie burrito for my hubby when traveling.. This place got top rating! My chicken chimi was amazing also. Stays open later than most Jerome restaurants also! Big recommend!

We stopped here for lunch while visiting in Jerome. It is brightly decorated with day of the dead, very clean, fast friendly service and the best Mexican food I've ever had. I would visit Jerome again just to eat there!

The dishes are as colorful as the decor in this restaurant, and very delicious. Not your typical Mexican cuisine, definitely a step above. We had a Diablo Shrimp Burrito and the Creamy Chipolte chicken and they were both superb with tasty sauces, qua smile, black beans and cilantro rice.

Had a delicious lunch in a richly Mexican decorated restaurant with wonderful service and great views of the Arizona hillside from Jerome. Would recommend to stop in.

Take a break from your average Mexican restaurant and come find out what is new and exciting at Vaqueros Grill & Cantina! Under new ownership, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina has taken a different direction by serving quality Mexican 'soul' food with a breathtaking view of the Verde Valley in Jerome, Arizona - a historic copper mining town, once known as "The Wickedest Town in the West." Located on Main St. in the first Safeway building in Arizona, Vaqueros Grill & Cantina invites you to savor the flavor of our house specialty - Navajo Tacos, a creation of Fry Bread smothered with refried beans or black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and choice of chicken, shredded beef, pork or veggie style served with cilantro rice, guacamole and chipotle sour cream. Suspended above the dining room is a hand forged agave chandelier, lined by a row of hand-blown glass lanterns hung along a set of old fashioned pull out windows. Mexican folk art, Milagro crosses and decorative silver tin ceiling panels surround this festive, locally owned, family friendly, and rustic style restaurant.
