This was one of my all time favorite BBQ places in the country. I've been coming for years. Sadly, the brisket and chicken were very dry and tough today. The pork wasn't very tender either. More edible than the other two were. Plus, the food...came out cold. It wasn't up to par the last two time that we ate there either. I'm so disappointed and saddened. Their sauces are still very good.More

A Must Go to Restaurant in Jerome!!! We eat there, when we vacation in Sedona each year. It’s NEVER a disappointment. This year we thoroughly enjoyed J-Man, with a Half-Order of Onion Rings. Our Server brought us the BBQ Sauces, and described each one. Everything...was absolutely delicious. It was a beautiful day, so we ate on the Deck again.More

Visit was 1:30 pm to avoid the lunch rush. 1/2 rack ribs with onion rings and a beer. Onion rings good. Ribs were bland until lots of bbq sauce. Was very much like parboiling the ribs and before adding the sauce. They were definitely not...cooked on the pit with sauce applied as they cooked. I actually had another person ask me what she should do because her ribs had an off flavor. I told her not to argue with the employees just chalk up to a bad experience and never a return visit. Then I got my ribs and got dissatisfied too. So I guess we learned todayMore

It quickly became apparent that this establishment was not interested in service or quality food. As we exited, the hostess simply glared at us instead of a simple, “thank you for coming”. The brisket was dry and tough. The young man who brought our food...quickly mumbled through the different bbq sauces, completely unintelligible. Basically, this place had the vibe of wanting to make money, but at minimal effort. On their part. 1. Food was marginal at best. 2. Service - “I want a paycheck but don’t want to work”. 3. Gratitude - “nope, that’s beneath me, I just want a paycheck” It just felt like they were filling squares and check boxes with no interest in giving good food , good service, or presenting a good attitude. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe it’s hard to get good reliable help in Jerome, but in the end, we had a poor meal and left $50 lighter regretting we chose that establishmentMore

Hungry in Jerome, 1st place we saw after parking, not a horrible decision! Place your order in front and find a seat. Prepare to pay up; for 2 people (2 sandwiches, 2 sides and 2 beers) was over $70! Service was friendly enough. We got...a box of sauces with no explanation, no biggie, we will try them all. Then we overheard another table talking about them and realized that we didn't get the good one. Cheesesteak was SUPER rich, brisket dry, sides are HUGE.More

My son and I enjoyed an excellent lunch here. I had the Cuban King sandwich and he had the BBQ Chicken sandwich. The side were great too and they had good beer on tap. We are outside and overall had a great time!

Delicious food and an easy going atmosphere. I had the Arizona Philly, and the smoky queso complimented the brisket well. Their BBQ sauce selection is also great, ranging from sweet to spicy!

We have been here many times in the past. Today we brought friends from Phoenix. The minute we arrived we felt like we were bothering the staff. The place was nearly empty. We had to seat ourselves, then go back to the register to order....We had to wait for the employees to finish their conversation before we could order. The gal who took our order seemed very irritated that we were there. While waiting for our food, I used the bathroom. It was filthy. The food came out and the portions were very small and I had the pulled pork sandwich and the bottom bun was mush. Had to eat it with a fork. The salad was good and was a good portion. But overall it was not great and very expensive. It’s Saturday at dinner time and no one was there. Now we know why. We decided we will not go back even tho we are locals. Too bad because we have eaten here many times in the past.More

I’ve visited this restaurant several times while living in Arizona. It was stellar before however, I haven’t been here in several months. I was very disappointed. The menu has significantly changed. The prices have risen but that’s to be expected. It was disappointing that now...there is now some sort of weird service charge? Almost 3 dollars “service fee” for my meal you’ve got to be kidding? So I adjust my tip accordingly. While dining this question was asked by several other couples nearby, What is this weird service fee? Wait staff said it’s for staff upfront. I adjusted my tip accordingly. No wonder the wait staff is so angry and it’s easy to noticeMore

Honestly… Bad food and overpriced. The bun was extremely soggy when my food came out. I couldn’t even pick up my sandwich without it falling apart. I took two bites and couldn’t even eat it after that. I paid $59 (plus a $12 tip) for...two sandwiches and two beers. #1- why am I paying this much money for what I ordered? #2- why am I paying this much money for soggy food that is falling apart and small beers? I drove 45 minutes for this and it was a disappointment. I will not be back. The people working were very nice though!More

We were soooo excited about going back to Bobby D’s again as we’ve gone out of our way to stop there many times in before. Everything about the place has changed since we were here just last year. The energy is different and the servers...seem annoyed or short on information. You’re left to find your way to sit down and look at a menu, figure out where to get up and order food at the bar, serve your own soda, etc. like other reviewers have noted. The ladies that used to work there serving were fantastic and they were really missed. The thing that was the most upsetting to me was that in spite of this, the prices have risen quite a bit and they’re offering less for what you’re buying. The menu is missing quite a bit of the things we used to love (sliced sausage among them) and the “large” sides aren’t large at all. The soda is $3.75 each, but you get a small cup. The ribs, which used to be amazing, weren’t as good as our other visits. To top it all off, they add a 12% service charge that they did not mention, nor was I offered an itemized copy of my receipt to see it, so I added a tip on top of that. Before tip, for one pulled pork sandwich, a half pound of ribs and three sides it was just under $80. None of it was worth going back for again.More

The food was wonderful and we have come here numerous times in the past with no complaints. We were looking for the same results. We had to seat ourselves, order food from the register, help ourselves to drinks and plates, silverware, and napkins. The food...comes with nothing. You have to add a side for an additional cost and the soda machine was not working. You could get soda from the register area. I know it is difficult to stay in business after Covid in small towns but tourists come for service. The cost for two sandwiches with one drink and one side of fries was $42. Will have to rethink visits in the future.More

Visit Jerome 2-3 times a year and always make this the first stop on arriving. Have always very much enjoyed our meals and service. Last visit was terrible. Have to order your meal from the counter and pay a 12% surcharge! Line was horrible when...we arrived. Food was good. Do not concur with a surcharge when there is no service. Will be my last visit here!More

Very friendly folks making good BBQ, served fast. They have a nice draft tap list & the a nice dog-friendly patio that overlooks the valley to the east. We'd dine here again no problem at all.
