Funky as can be but really good food! Antiques and oddiments hanging for the rafters (literally!) Everywhere you liik is something unusual and interesting to see - and the food was really good and inexpensive as well!

They serve breakfast all day and I was in a breakfast mood at 2 pm and happened past this place. Good and varied menu regardless of meal you are choosing. I had two eggs with the most amazing sausage and a hot cake (which was the size of a dinner plate. All for $6.45. Well worth it and delicious to... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff was GREAT. Prices were fair. Atmosphere perfect for 66. Our food was just ok. This wouldn't be my first choice, but you can't go wrong.

Saw the sign, hungry and stopped. Friendly guy at a table said hi and the waitress said the same. They treated us like locals, shared a little of their story. Food was good, just the right portions for a lunch. Different kind of salsa (spicy and tomato-ey). Read the fine print under the family pictures.

Visited with the family while traveling through. Food did not appeal to us. While we had high hopes with homemade dishes, the food came off as lower quality and odd tasting to us and somewhat greasy. I don't think we would recommend this place to anyone. There are so many better choices out there, this place was not worth stopping... More

What a gem along Route 66. My husband had the combination Mexican plate-enchilada, tamale, taco, stuffed chili and a large delicious sopaipilla. I had pork chops, baked potato and salad. Very good. The atmosphere was like eating in a museum. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The owner was so nice and told us the history of the restaurant... More

Amazing meal. Walked away stuffed. Service was friendly, and fast. Soppapillas were delicious. We had cheese enchiladas with red sauce, tamales and enchiladas with green sauce, and taco salads. If you don't like spicy be sure to ask before you choose the sauce.

service is friendly, and the food is good. It's a bit dark, but don't let the funky atmosphere put you off. We had the tacos and the flautas, both of which were good.

While staying in Winslow, we backtracked to Holbrook to eat here. Being from New Mexico we were pleasantly surprised. Real red chile!! The portions were large - we had leftovers. I, personally, enjoyed the old items adorning the walls and ceiling. Interesting to look at while waiting for lunch. The service was fabulous - the young man was quick and... More

Having arrived late to Holbrook (couldn't tear ourselves away from the painted desert!) we were struggling to find a place for dinner having intended to go to Joe & Aggies diner. We stumbled across Mr Maestas and were delighted to find such a bizarre and kitsch diner who were happy to accommodate these weary travellers. A couple of beers and... More
