Stopped by on the way up to Pinetop and boy am I glad we did. We had great service, nice cold beer and one of the best tasting burgers. For anyone traveling up to the White Mountains, it's worth your while to stop in and enjoy the food. You won't be disappointed.

We were referred to the Red Onion for their burgers...We arrived for lunch and the menu is more a la carte. Burgers do not come with fries. However, the fries are large enough to accommodate two easily. We ordered a fish sandwich and bacon burger. Both were delicious! They took quite a while to get to our table despite being... More

Friday night fish fry! The fish was of high quality, firm, crisply breaded and served piping hot. Accompanying baked and seasoned potato was a nice change from fries. Salad bar lived up to its reputation except I would have preferred greens rather than iceberg lettuce. Traditional oil and vinegar Italian dressing seems to have disappeared from the American diet to... More

Off roading all morning and the Red Onion was our destination for lunch. Great hamburger, I went with the green chile burger, it was perfect. Cold beer too. I think it would be a lot of fun on a Friday or Saturday night too. Check it out the next time you are in Heber, AZ.

We have eaten here numerous times in the past and the hamburgers and fries have always been good. Yesterday was no exception. The only problem was it took over 40 minutes to get them. There was an abundance of servers but the cook had no help whatsoever. Totally overwhelmed. To compound the situation our waitress did not even offer to... More

My husband and I were passing through on a Sunday afternoon after ATVing and arrived very hungry. We had been by many times and always saw a full parking lot, dominated by trucks and motorcycles. The first thing we noticed is that the interior is dingy and appeared to have dirty tables and floors. Every old TV (no flatscreen models)... More

They have the best burgers in town. If you are hungry stop in here and try a western burger or something else. I'm sure you will leave stuffed to the gills. They are a little pricey, but what do you expect for a small town. Every time we are in Heber we eat here.

Great hamburgers and hand cut fries. A fantastic salad bar on Friday and Saturday night. The service is a little above average. This is my choice in Heber since Casa Ramos charges extra for additional chips and salsa. They will get hundreds of dollars from me from now on.

This is a popular place with plenty of seating. The "hostess" was a bit abrupt, but we attributed that to how busy the place was. We were told right away that, since the place was so busy, we should expect to wait up to 45 minutes for our food. We waited a good 30 minutes before our meal came out... More

Recommended by local staff at our hotel, the Red Onion has a rural mountain vibe, good service, and very good food. Although apparently considered a "burger place," all four of us ordered the chicken fried steak dinner special, which included mashed potatoes, cream gravy, corn, and a dinner roll. Good portions, delicious food.
