The Rendezvous, with its idyllic setting, has been our favorite place in Greer for over 25 years. Today's lunch told a different story. The server told me the grilled cheese sandwich used American Cheese.  When I asked for cheddar, I got grated cheese.  It wasn't well...melted so I had to stuff cheese back in while eating. The side of 'pickle chips' were deep fried but the menu gave no indication they were fried.  They were abysmal. I have had fried pickles elsewhere that were delicious. These were tiny pieces of pickle with a lot of breading. When I mentioned the pickle chip oddness to the server, she shrugged & walked away. Husband's BBQ chicken sandwich was fine.  With no beverages, our bill was over $30.  It was a disappointment.  We won't be back.More

Great breakfast and lunch options. This has changed ownership but everything is the same. Great antiques everywhere that it make it such a charming atmosphere. The prices were reasonable. Portion sizes were just right. This was the best places out of the three we ate...at during our two night stay.More

Long our favorite place on the mountain…we often drive 40 minutes from Pinetop for breakfast or lunch. Did so 10/2 and it was awful. Service was absolutely horrible, snd they weren’t that busy. Sandwiches (mesquite burger and Reuben) mediocre. Onion rings were cold. BTW when...restaurants excuse bad service with “but we’re SO busy” … isn’t that the idea?More

There were quite a few people waiting & they had just seated a party of 17, so we were surprised that we were seated in the 20 minutes they told us. This is not a big place but we had a lovely table outside with...umbrellas and a wonderful mountain view. My husband and I shared a fantastic meatloaf sandwich with homemade potato chips, since we knew we were going to have a big dinner that night, but it was so good, I wish I had ordered my own! Our friends had grilled cheese & ham sandwiches plus malts, that also looked great. We tried to buy a whole pie to take home (since they are known for them) but they have to be ordered ahead. We would definitely eat here again!More

Enjoyed breakfast here... very tasty, although the ham slice was overcooked... maybe even old. Eggs were great, as well as the hash browns. Loved the décor!

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. We felt very comfortable and everyone (family of 5) loved what they ordered. We took peach cobbler with ice cream home, oh my gosh was it amazing!

Every year our family loves to go to Greer and look at the Fall colors and stop for lunch at Rendezvous Diner. Food is top notch! Expect at a short wait as the diner is very popular and is always busy. Pauline does a great...job and always gives a Tootsie Pop sucker to our kids once we are done. I highly recommend the New Mexico burger with red sauce! Her red sauce is the best I have ever had. Bread pudding is to die for. If you have ties to the area spend a minute checking the walls for people you know. She has hundreds of photos of the locals. I found a photo of my grandad Jack Slade on the wall and also my high school math teacher Sunny Wiltbank.More

I have never been treated so rudely in all my travels. No matter how good the food may be or how cute the ambiance is, I will never go back. She was out and out mean. I will venture other places before setting foot there...again.More

We had a wonderful lunch here. Sat outside and received excellent service. Their home made chips are special. Our sandwich were very tasty with large servings. Wine and beer available. Prices are reasonable.

Breakfast at Rendezvous Diner will be a highlight of your day! We had the biscuit and gravy combo and it was the best I have ever tasted. You cannot go away hungry here. Staff was wonderful and service cannot be beat. Masks were worn by...staff and they displayed respect and safety conscious attitudes.More

The food and service is good, not super. It’s just too bad that they had to add a .25 cent per item up charge. They said it’s due to COVID. Hey guys we’re all feeling the pinch right now. But, rather than sticking it to...the customer. Be glad that they are coming back. Sure it may cut into your profit margin but it shows alliance with the customer.More

The take out was 'ok' -- service was lacking due to not enough staff -- only restaurant open for breakfast.
