Yeah! The boss paid and we all ate. Service was good but food was not always up to par. We were a group of 6 or 7 so that should not be a big deal for a short order chef to accomplish that many orders post haste. OH! and get it right!

Had salmon with hollandaise sauce, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, with a precursor of potato soup and corn bread ice tea was the beverage. I think everything was good, I just wasn't fond of whatever the breading was on the salmon.

Most of their meals are enough for two, with just enough room to split one of their giant homemade desserts. The service is friendly and speedy and the menu has something for everyone.

Meals big enough to split with someone. Original location started at Mount Shasta CA and they grew from there. Food is Great! Must try this homespun restaurant with a unique flair. Country Fried Steak is the best. Great Chile! Perfect Pancakes. Fast and Friendly!

The places very popular. The food comes in abundance. We had prime rib. Though not really seasoned, it was tender and portion large. Very noisy and caters to families. Very affordable. Wait staff was friendly and eager to please.

My new favorite place to eat especially for breakfast. I am not a big pancake person but theirs are to die for. My omelette was stuffed with meat. The wife's country fried steak meal fantastic. We had a short wait but very reasonable. Service so nice, friendly just a great experience!

We eat at a Black Bear whenever we can because we really enjoy the food and haven't been disappointed. We even ate at the Black Bear on Thanksgiving in 2010 in Redding CA because it was the only restaurant open. Always good food, fast friendly service and reasonably priced.

My family and I eat here whenever we are in the mood for a great breakfast. There is usually a line on weekends but it moves pretty quick. The interior was recently remodeled, and is rustic in design and comfortable. The food is always excellent, and they give you a lot of it. Servers are friendly and attentive. This is... More

My wife and I had several meals here all excellent. Service good, dessert well above average. You will gain weight. Only issue we had was we wanted to have lunch on our last day and the place was packed. We had to elsewhere. Generally a little expensive, but I suspect one could share a meal and get full. Did not... More
