The places very popular. The food comes in abundance. We had prime rib. Though not really seasoned, it was tender and portion large. Very noisy and caters to families. Very affordable. Wait staff was friendly and eager to please.

My new favorite place to eat especially for breakfast. I am not a big pancake person but theirs are to die for. My omelette was stuffed with meat. The wife's country fried steak meal fantastic. We had a short wait but very reasonable. Service so nice, friendly just a great experience!

We eat at a Black Bear whenever we can because we really enjoy the food and haven't been disappointed. We even ate at the Black Bear on Thanksgiving in 2010 in Redding CA because it was the only restaurant open. Always good food, fast friendly service and reasonably priced.

My family and I eat here whenever we are in the mood for a great breakfast. There is usually a line on weekends but it moves pretty quick. The interior was recently remodeled, and is rustic in design and comfortable. The food is always excellent, and they give you a lot of it. Servers are friendly and attentive. This is... More

My wife and I had several meals here all excellent. Service good, dessert well above average. You will gain weight. Only issue we had was we wanted to have lunch on our last day and the place was packed. We had to elsewhere. Generally a little expensive, but I suspect one could share a meal and get full. Did not... More

I've had the opportunity to eat at three or four different Black Bear Diners and my take on them has remained consistent: What the food lacks in excellence it makes up for in quantity. I usually go for a breakfast or brunch and I haven't found the offerings to be any better than your typical Denny's or IHOP. But if... More

Can't say enough about this place! Best restaurant breakfast I've had in a long time. Lots of menu choices! Staff is very friendly and attentive, food portions are big and served hot and fast, plus they make a great cup of coffee. Don't stop if you're in a hurry though, as this establishment is always busy.

We are breakfast & it was ok. It may have been better if my half n half didn't curdle in my hot tea. It must happen enough, as the server hardly flinched & really didn't apologize. Not sure if I'd go back. I'm sure there are lots I forget places to dine at.

You can get just about anything from hamburgers, meatloaf and a variety of salads. The prices are reasonable and service is good. The steak salad is especially good.

This restaurant has burgers, chicken fried steak, all day breakfast, sandwiches, and salads. The portions are huge with relatively decent prices. The kids meals are quite large as well! The food was excellent and everyone loved their dishes. We had chicken fried steak, Double Bacon B.L.A.S.T. (basically a huge club sandwich), chicken caesar salad, Sourdough Melt and a Bruce’s Meat... More
