Gaudy decor, poor noise distribution as very loud from other guests and music. There is an extra charge for additional chips. This makes no sense as chips are cheap. Prices of entrees should cover unlimited chips. Regular chimichanga enchilada style with rice and beans was beyond bland. Chili relleno oily. Rice decent along with chunky salsa. We won't be repeat... More

This is nothing fancy, just a local family owned Mexican place with a long history. We had a late lunch on a recent visit to Globe from Phoenix. Service was fast and friendly, they kept my iced tea refilled. One thing to note is that they don't bring the check to your table, you just go up to the register... More

We wanted a great Mexican restaurant and this place gad good reviews. They claim to be authentic, COMPLETELY not authentic. We had flour tortilla chips. We had at least 4 servers, none of them helping when we needed. Our toppings and silverware were forgotten, margaritas were bad. Took forever to get our check and we waited forever to pay when... We sat down, in eye shot of the register, and waited for over 45 minutes to be waited on for our drinks. We have heard great things about this place from our friends, and so decided to try it out, but our service was HORRIBLE!!! We finally received our food about an hour after arriving, and it was mediocre. I... More

I saw a 5 star rating for this place and decided to try it out. So glad we did!! I love old Old Arizona places and this place fits the bill - in business since 1938. Food was good, not exceptional, but well worth stopping by. I would definitely go back again if in the area.

Stopped into Guayo's before hitting the road back to Mesa on Hwy 188. Outdated, hodge podge interior, but was clean. We both had the Cream Cheese and Chicken filled Burrito with Refried Beans. It was tasty and filling. The Margarita was pretty good too. Friendly and attentive service. I would suggest remodeling the interior with some bright, festive Mexican colors... More

After a long day of driving from California, we stopped in at Guayo's on the Trail after dark and before checking into our hotel in Globe. The parking lot was packed for a weekday and that appeared to be because they were having a fundraiser in a back room. The restaurant is unpretentious and draws in locals. Two kinds of... More

We stopped by this evening for dinner, and were seated quickly. I didn't enjoy the salsa because of how thin it was:it seemed difficult to pour some on a chip because everything ran off so I only got a coating of thin red -colored watery liquid. They provided plates instead of bowls so pouring it out on the plate didn't... More
